We are now moving forward on completing this series of books that share the lectures of my teacher and the founder of the Enkyoji Buddhist Network, Rev. Kanto Tsukamoto. As with many projects it takes lots of energy and time to bring them to completion. So as you can imagine, it is a great accomplishment to fulfil such a wish that started many years ago.

The most powerful reason that I wish to share these lectures with everyone is because of their simplicity and the easy-to-grasp explanations that Tsukamoto Sensei uses to share many very profound teachings. In being his student, he has always taught me to share according to the capacity of the listener. Well, that takes lots of skill and wisdom that is gained over many attempts and with deep study! Also, as a student myself, I am always blown away by the impact that these teachings have directly had in my own life. Now, with the internet, there are tons of Buddhist teachers and lectures available online, but I cannot recall any of them now. However, I can easily recall the extremely powerful lessons that Tsukamoto Sensei wrote in all of his newsletters and lectures. That is why I have saved them and wish to share them with the rest of the world.

In Buddhism, this concept of sharing the Buddha dharma is an essential part of our practice as Bodhisattvas. What you see before you is the amazing work of many Bodhisattvas over the years from inside the Enkyoji Buddhist Network that have allowed this great merit to be shared with countless beings. I thank all of them with a deep bow with gassho!

Also, a big thank you for your support through purchasing this book. We look forward to completing many additional projects that we are wishing to bring to you to assist in your study and practice. If you are interested in helping us, we welcome you to the Enkyoji Buddhist Network. Our idea is simply, “Learning is doing!” That is what I was taught by Tsukamoto Sensei during my training as a lay person, Shami, and as a Priest. I hope that you will join us for this incredible journey!

This is a culmination of many newsletters written on various topics relating to the tradition of Nichiren Shu Buddhism. It is written by the founder of the Choeizan Enkyoji Buddhist Network and compiled by his disciple, Rev.Kanjin Cederman. This writing is a culmination of many newsletters written on various topics relating to the tradition of Nichiren Shu Buddhism, in regards to core concepts and personal experiences.

It is written by the founder of the Choeizan Enkyoji Buddhist Network, a supportive and nurturing global collective of Sangha and Sangha leadership, dedicated to expounding the Dharma of the Lotus Sutra to suffering beings wherever they may be. This particular publication is so fresh and beautiful in its delivery of real and relevant concepts one can use in their daily Buddhist practice. I particularly enjoy Rev. Tsukamoto Shonin’s lyrical poeticism when elucidating teachings that may be difficult to comprehend for the lay practitioner. Through his gentle guidance, we not only comprehend the teaching, but we assimilate it into our hearts and experience it beyond technical analysis, the lessons delivered in this work.

This particular publication is so fresh and beautiful in its delivery of real and relevant concepts one can use in their daily Buddhist practice, through insight and allegories pertaining to our everyday lives.

I very much enjoyed this, and the other publications in this series, especially the chapters pertaining to the Lotus Sutra and the practice of Odaimoku. This publication is fantastic for both practitioners and those who find themselves curious as to the wisdom and practice of Nichiren Shu Buddhism.
