Walt Thrun has done an excellent presentation of the flow of Bible history and prophecy about God's plan for human redemption. Through an intense study of redemption from the Garden of Eden in Genesis 1-3 unto the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21-22, the author provides a very readable and Bible based insight into human redemption. A vital part of redemption is human repentance and the blood sacrifice for sins. The author emphasizes every era of Old Testament history and prophecy points toward a coming Messiah, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Another valuable insight that Mr. Thrun provides is the importance of every New Testament book in redemption's plan as well as the timing of these events. Included within the context of these Bible books is the insight into human suffering. The author's vast knowledge of the Scriptures and great insight into Bible prophecy really bring the reader on an exciting journey of learning, hoping, and rejoicing in all that God has planned from the foundation of the world. In our current times, many of these insights are presented and placed into the proper prophetic and doctrinal contexts. Another valuable perspective that can be found in From Prophecy to Reality is a context for human suffering and persecution. The focus upon Israel and other countries mentioned in prophecy bring a reader into our current times and even present times that are yet to come. The consistency of God to fulfill His promises, to honor His Word, and to reveal Bible truth for current times. Some of the Old Testament prophecy refers to "the day of the Lord," and the author gives an enlightening insight upon that phrase. The covenant of God with Abraham along with other covenants of God in Old Testament days are explained very well and given an esteemed place in God's prophetic plan. The Lord Jesus Christ introduced "the new covenant," and valuable information can be found regarding it. The author closes this book by covering the millennial kingdom, the believer's role in heaven, and the hope that belongs to a child of God. This book has to be one of the most insightful prophetic books that I have read, and I would highly recommend it to all.
