Review

It's fair to say that Meet Me Where the Windrush Flows doesn't follow a predictable plot and is all the better for it. There are no empty fillers to distract us and Goree's earnest observations on love, faith, and family are wonderfully captured in the contemporary textures of Cotswold life. Albeit it with a murderer lingering in the shadows!
A wholesome romance with a darker edge Meet Me Where the Windrush Flows proves a delightful dalliance into pure escapism. A five-star read and deserving of your attention, it is recommended without reservation! BookViral review.

As an avid anglophile, I jumped at the chance to purchase this book. I was already familiar with Ms. Goree’s work and knew the story would be unique and the characters relatable. I loved all the description, and easily visualized the tiny Cotswold village, an area I haven’t had a chance to visit. The author has obviously done her research on archaeology, and I enjoyed learning about the topic. The male protagonist is a physician, and his tender, yet professional care of his mother is poignant and sweet. There is a bit of mystery and suspense which was fun to follow and try to determine the motive and identity of the villains. I really liked that the main characters were older and had extensive life experiences. Another fantastic book by this author.
