Free will comes up in everyday conversations all the time. "She did that of her own free will." "He could have done something else instead." "It's my choice." "That's up to you." How we think about free will-and the closely-related concept of moral responsibility-is essential to how we think about our lives. Taylor W. Cyr is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Samford University. Prior to this, he was a lecturer in the philosophy department at Washington University in St. Louis. He has written several articles on issues at the intersection of ethics and metaphysics, focusing on free will and moral responsibility.

Matthew T. Flummer is Professor of Philosophy at Porterville College. His research, which primarily focuses on free will, moral responsibility, and the philosophy of religion, has appeared in various academic journals.
