. I didn’t realize how much crispier the fried tofu is after you use this press vs buying super firm tofu for frying. I liberally sprinkle salt free spices , nutritional yeast and corn starch and then fry away. Add more yum yum before serving…Drizzle soy glaze, sesame oil ,fried shallots , chili crisps and it’s like a taste of heaven. ☺️

Works great for store-bought tofu or tofu made from scratch
I purchased this tofu press because I wanted to get into making my own tofu from scratch. I bought cheese cloth for straining the tofu curd and I just wrap it tightly in the cheese cloth before pressing. However, it's improved the quality of my store bought tofu so drastically that it's just as good as my fresh homemade tofu. It fries up to a beautiful golden brown and it's so crispy you can hear the crunch when you bite into it.You will want to put the press on a plate or in a bowl. It's crazy how much water gets squeezed out.
