This book examines Gods standard of righteousness and justice as revealed to the nation of Israel and then compares those standards with Americas progressive vision. It discusses this nations three major branches of governmenti.e., executive, legislative, and judicialrelative to Americas perception of national authority and justice. It also considers specific contemporary domestic, economic, and foreign policy issues to determine if Americas priorities compare with Gods revealed standards.
A major Scripture reference will be, Now all these things happened to them (Israelites) as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. (1 Corinthians 10:11)
A comprehensive chapter on the Middle East entitled The Fertile Crescent: Geographic Center of Prophecy presents biblical evidence that this age will end where it all began. The study also offers in this context a unique perspective on the final world kingdom based on both biblical prophecy and Islamic literature. More than five hundred Scripture passages containing more than one thousand verses are referenced and quoted from twenty-six books of the Old Testament and twenty-four books of the New Testament.
This book is ideally suited for group Bible studies in addition to enhancing individual understanding of the requirements for national success based on biblical teachings.

Great book, a must read.

America has changed in many ways in just a few years. The Christian nation of the fifties and sixties has gradually become the spiritually weakened nation of today. The changes in the world governments and in our own nation invite us to return to view the times of Abraham and his two sons, Isaac and Ishmael. The careful examination of the promises made to Ishmael and Isaac and how these promises have related historically are excellent parts of the book. From those times onward Israel's journey to becoming back in the land in 1948. The book takes a very historic and prophetic insight into Israel's time of return into the land, the rise of the Turkish government, and America's position in this prophetic picture. This book provides valuable geographic interpretations and information of the centuries and of today. Walt Thrun is a very gifted teacher and biblical scholar. Any student of prophecy would find this a most valuable read in placing the nations of the world into the prophetic scheme and in presenting how America might be presented in prophecy. I highly recommend this writer and this book.

If asked. few could succinctly explain God's plan of redemption for mankind. That is, unless they had read Walt Thrun's book: "America's Vision vs. God's Standard of Justice". Mr. Thrun has peeled away the confusion that many feel when trying to dig out the essence of God's word from casual reading. He has juxtaposed God's word with our contemporary cultural condition… and with his lucid personal exposition… intermingled with confirming scriptural quotes… painted a word picture that gives vivid life to how God's justice is the epitome of pragmatic eternal truth. Even more revealing is the inevitability of God's wrath that awaits those who willfully choose not to obey His Commandments or refuse His free gift of salvation. Simultaneously, and perhaps the heart of his work, Thrun explains the current irreconcilable divisiveness, turmoil and hostility between followers of the sons of Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac. A Spiritual awakening awaits the reader who is receptive to God's message astutely conveyed in this book.
