Katrina how appropriate we are in New Orleans. I can't seem to put these books down. The author hooks you from the get go and somehow you find yourself accepting all the supernatural players as if you interact with them on a daily basis. Love it!

Join New Orleans most powerful necromancer and hells own Grimm reaper on this crazy journey full of cheesy jokes, sexual innuendos and a crazy pirate on the loose. It was shiver me timber’s good time with grins and giggles and some death along the way! This series has all your paranormal creatures and is a lot of fun to read. They aren’t super so long easy to follow. Each book is a standalone but reading order is best because other wise you might get a spoiler you didn’t want. A light hearted humorous way to start the new year for me.

A Death Reaper and a Necromancer kiss...Sounds like the start of a joke right? Close its the start of a rocky relationship that has ghosts congregating in the Big Easy. New Orleans has become infested with them. Now the protagonists need to clean up the mess.
I found it engagingly sweet, also sexy and comical. This author writes humor in its many forms as banter between the characters. I recommend reading from book one to get the intro’s for the supporting characters although it isn’t necessary for the story.

New Orleans, what could go wrong? Lots when the door to the underworld is locked and the Reaper can not open the door to take the souls to the underworld. Ash as the Reaper needs Jasmine help but things get complicated because he loves her and one ghost escape and is out to get them. So much fun to read.

This was another funny but riveting book from Carrie Pulkinen. Archer is one of the Grim Reapers that collects souls to send them on their way. However, he is totally fed up and needing to get away from Jasmine, a necromancer whom he has a real crush on. But who would want to date the Grim Reaper? So he takes an unscheduled holiday, leaving his door open so the souls can pass through. But unknown to him, he's sunning himself on a beach with his phone off, someone has closed his door and all the souls are now wandering around the French Quarter. Jasmine really likes Archer and she thought he liked her too but now he seems to have disappeared and whats with all these ghosts milling around.? One of them begins to trail around after her and she finally realises that they can't cross over. When Archer realises what is happening he hot foots it back home. There he and Jasmine work together, or a least try to, given that they are both as stubborn as each other, to resolve the problem especially one very difficult pirate determined to avoid them. This is a great story with a few twists in the tale, laughs and hot moments between our two main characters. Loved it.
