About the authors
Juan Arabia (Buenos Aires, 1983) is a poet, translator, and literary critic. In addition to publishing five books of poetry, he has written extensively on John Fante and the Beat Generation. He has translated Arthur Rimbaud, Ezra Pound, and a book-length anthology of the Beat poets. His books of poetry have been published throughout Latin America, Europe, and China: El Enemigo de los Thirties (2015), L´Océan Avare (2018), Desalojo de la naturaleza (2018), and Hacia Carcassonne (2020), among others. He is a graduate from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, and the founder and director of Buenos Aires Poetry.
Ignacio Oliden (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1997) is a poet, translator, and literary critic. He is the co-editor-in-chief of the literary magazine La Piccioletta Barca (Cambridge, United Kingdom), and a member of the Editorial Committee of the Buenos Aires Poetry magazine and imprint. He also writes literary criticism for the Cultural Supplement of Diario Perfil. He has edited and translated, together with Juan Arabia, the anthology Poetas del Renacimiento de Harlem (Buenos Aires Poetry, 2023). His poems have appeared in magazines and newspapers in various countries, and have been translated into English, Greek, and Italian. Some of them were compiled in his first book, Mester de Juglaría, published by Buenos Aires Poetry in 2024.
