Debut author S.A. Craig takes the reader on a tragicomic romp from the football-crazed city of San Angelo, Texas to the neon exuberance of Las Vegas. Craig’s novel is populated by an eclectic assortment of characters; taken collectively, they form an inclusive snapshot of humanity. Readers will find this diverse array of characters to be vividly drawn, highly relatable and unforgettable by the novel’s conclusion. The plot takes the reader on a journey that is both spiritual and secular. We traverse the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas and it’s drug-besotted inhabitants. But we are also introduced to characters of surpassing goodness who provide the inspiration for the novel’s title. Some Saw An Angel in Las Vegas is an entertaining read and a rollicking journey. Highly recommended!

Craig`s book is why we read fiction: a fun get away to Las Vegas. The interesting characters are escaping their lives to start over in Las Vegas and what a wide ride it is as their paths cross on this adventure. Loved her writing style. It made for compelling reading. The accuracy of the details was another asset. I could picture this being one of the new TV shows that have multiple episodes. You would keep coming back for more. The end of the book came too soon. I wanted to know what happened next. Thanks for the fun.

Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. The characters all have great development and growth, you will end up really caring about them and becoming attached to them. It's also very interesting seeing how they come together as the stories progress. The book is mostly set in a fictionalized Las Vegas, and this book really does a good job of building a believable universe. At the end you end up rooting for the fictional football team (Antelopes), John the professional poker player as well as the other characters who are engaged in various contests. While this book builds a nice universe, it is mainly focused on the characters living in this universe, all of whom have various flaws which makes them very relatable and helps you build empathy for them. There are multiple twists and turns right up until the end, so don't skip ahead even though it may be tempting to see what ultimately happens to your favorite characters. The book has plenty of humorous moments, as well as sad moments. I could definitely see this book turned into a min-series or maybe a movie. Excellent, highly recommended!
