"Dark Bound is thrilling, exciting and one of the best paranormal series I’ve read." —Boundless Book Reviews In my life when things go bad, they go notoriously bad. As if having a Greater demon hunting me wasn’t bad enough, or a demented archangel trying to kill me, try doing a job for a fae queen I hate. Why? Because someone close to me is about to lose everything if I don’t find a crap load of money soon. But without any other jobs coming up, I’m stuck. So when the fae queen of the Dark court offers me a gig, I take it. But what I thought was a routine Hunt turns into a fight for my life. Oh, and my master plan for making easy money? Yeah, not so much. *The second book in the Shadow and Light series ends with a small cliffhanger. Don't miss the pulse-pounding continuation of the Shadow and Light series! Dark Bound is a sassy, fast-paced urban fantasy filled with demons, angels, vampires, werewolves, witches, fae, leprechauns, jinn, and shifters. If you enjoy urban fantasy books with a kick-ass heroine and plenty of action, suspense and humor, then you’ll love reading Dark Bound. Grab your copy today!

Dark Bound is thrilling, exciting and one of the best paranormal series I’ve read.

Rowyn always seems to find herself in some kind of a mess. But she always tries to figure out a way out of them. I love Rowyn, she is so bad a$$. She can have arrows shot into her thigh and still that doesn’t stop her. I mean, how can you not love her? She also finds some humor in the midst of it all. It helps though to have the cat Tyrius by her side. I love that Demon.

Just like the first book, once the story starts, it’s a roller coaster. There’s never a moment where you’re thinking, man this boring. There’s no chance, after one thing there’s something else. You never know what Richardson has up her sleeve. Rowyn and Jax’s relationship is explored in Dark Bound. But there’s something that has to keep them apart. Even though you don’t get those hot scorching moments, you feel it. There’s something that lies deep within them, and it’s like they are destined to be a part of each other's lives.

I’ve been a fan of Richardson for a while. It just seems like every book she writes, and she gets better and better. The writing is magic, it’s brilliant, and I can’t get enough. Now I have to wait for #3, and I hate waiting. What’s going to happen next? I have to know. Hurry up book three.

Overall, Five Boundless Stars

I really don't know what it is about this series but as soon as I finish this review, I'm ordering the next book in this series. I love the string female character. She's honest, loyal and brave. What's nit to like about that?

Well crafted, can't put it down. Plot and characters grabbed my interest and made me care. Best of all, no smut or insta-luv. Onto book three.

Great read. Plot movement is excellent and new characterization of old elements keeps you guessing where the story line is going.

I thoroughly enjoy Kim Richardson’s books. There’s always an interesting storyline with fun, often snarky characters. There is also the inevitable romantic and sexual tension between the female lead and the male lead.

If there’s one bit of advice I’d like to give the author, it’s to please, please, pretty please… stop mentioning (repeatedly, in every book) the heroine’s “boots clomping on <insert surface here>.” She’s used the phrase so many times in all (yes, all) of her books that it now irritates the heck out of me when I read it yet again. Enough with the boots clomping already.

I love this author. I've been binge reading her books since finding her last month. Always such a huge treat, isnt it? To find a talented new-to-you author in your favorite genre when you were sure you'd already discovered all the good ones? But I have noticed something about Richardson. She's either absolutely on fire with her writing or she's tepid. The tepid is rare, but obvious. This book was a tepid. The adventure, as in book one, was good. Buts thats all there was. There was zero character growth or depth in this second series entry. If this trend continued, the series would quickly read as stilted, vapid, formulaic and passionless. But, since this is Richardson, I'm going on to the next in series and planning on this being a one entry slump. She is that good an author and worthy of such trust.

This is a really great series. Fast paced and incredibly edgy. Plenty of snarky humor, to mix up the truly dark happenings. Good vs evil, but who actually is good, the area is so grey. Great characters with phenomenal world building and a storyline that completely engages you to the point that you can’t put it down.

Books have engaging plots and are well written. I love the talking cat/demon. I also appreciated that the heroine could focus on more than the "hot, hot, hot" guy in her life and that the books weren't just a bunch of sex scenes.

‘Dark Bound’ is a riveting continuation of the first book in the ‘Shadow and Light’ series. The story moves on with intense action.
Angel born Rowyn Sinclair demon hunter, who relates her story, is a congenial protagonist, firmly supported by her staunch and humorous baal-demon friend Tyrius. She has special powers, but puts herself at risk in trying to help a dear family member she cares about.
Ambitious faerie queen Isobel is quite scary. We feel for the enigmatic faerie gnome Ugul who should not have met such a grotesque end. Jax is still around. The mix of demons, vampires, veth hounds, witches and half breeds in their characters is mind-blowing.
Author Kim Richardson sows the seeds of fear, suspense and anticipation throughout the book, compelling us to look forward to each next exciting chapter in the story. Her descriptive and graphic writing conjures visions of horror and dread. Your insides are all churned up. Incredibly exhilarating!
Now it is on to Book three.

The first book was amazing and thus I rushed onto book 2 dark bound. Very disappointing. It mainly consisted of the amazing Tirius saying this is a silly plan and disaster happening. Repeat X5. I will read the next but hoping for better things
