I was born and raised in the Midwest yet unabashedly aspired for adventure elsewhere, following my parents' model.

I live in southern California, where seasons seldom matter, where any promise can be conjured and fulfilled. I write while my husband watches TV sports, which are always in season = often.

I wrote a series titled Faith, Family, Frenzy! about the small town & rural Midwest. I know the characters and settings very well and my fertile imagination creates the plots. None of the escapades I create have happened to anyone anywhere, not even me.

Perhaps my series is a form of memoir...

I write humor and satire with a literary bent. Besides the four novels, I’ve published two short story anthologies and have a third in mind... I’m available to speak to your group or book club. I’m eager to engage with other writers and readers of my books.

I am having a blast!

"I Am . . . A Quarantine Survivor" captures the author's wonderfully wry sense of humor and thoughtful assessment of her time in COVID-19 quarantine. This smart little book relates her journey from the naïve beginning of the pandemic in March (“ . . . I am now stocked until the end of April when we hope the worst is past”) to a later riff on facemasks and ZOOM fatigue. The blog post collection ranges from philosophical to fun to various challenges to sanity.

Through it all, the voice of this social butterfly author whose wings were COVID clipped make this a satisfying afternoon read with ample pages for your own thoughts on how you survived your quarantine. That this book compares the author’s determination to survive COVID to being a cancer survivor places her rousting chronicle in a poignant, significant light. Final worthwhile note: All the book’s proceeds are going to Second Harvest Food Bank in Irvine, CA! Cool.
