Lewis, Rick Riordan, and J.K. Rowling now have a new fantasy world where they can escape! A world brimming with mermaids, minotaurs, centaurs, and a sea serpent! Explore the beauty and danger of the mysterious Island of Myste!AboutThe Island ofM Y S T E"The rush I felt while reading this book was exhilaration and I did not want to set it down until I finished it. If you're one of those people who loved the Eragon and Harry Potter series, you're going to love this book. I'm definitely adding this book to the list of fantasy novels I loved and would revisit. The most beautiful thing about it is that all the mythical creatures you've read and heard about throughout your childhood come to life. It's like the Avengers or Justice League of fantasies. Randall uses everything we've learned about fantasy and somehow it all makes sense like we knew it from a subject we studied a long time ago."Vyshnavi T S,Urban.Caver"This is a book to be devoured in one sitting and leaves you on the edge of your comfy chair anticipating the next in the series! Chocked full of suspense that keeps the pages turning and sprinkled throughout with humor, this is an excellent read for fantasy-lovers of all ages. Nearly every mythological creature you can hope for is represented in an almost-Narnian fashion. … I can’t wait to read the next one!"Crystal McGough

Top review from the United States

Yumiko’s tale of danger and adventure continues after she and her father are saved from Rodney’s abuse by the Sirasin Gideon. After a scary encounter with the Garagula, Yumiko comes face to face with the terrifying Roc, Kun. She escapes with the help of the Centauri.

Now she must face the task Gideon set before her; convince the Nephilim that they can be forgiven and that they in turn must learn to forgive each other. The tribes must work together so all who desire to escape the island will be able to do so. But will she succeed in convincing the unwilling tribes that forgiveness is possible, even for the dreaded and despised Rocs? Millennium-old hatreds and prejudices will need to be confronted and released.

An exciting second installment in this series! I appreciated Yumiko’s courage and willingness to sacrifice herself to the Roc even though in doing so she disobeyed her father. Once again, especially recommended for middle schoolers but a good read for all ages.
