About the Author

Edgar Rider grew up with the nickname Bob. He grew up in the house of a well known Senator and Governor. Many of his relatives in the Fannin family were well known and had stature in the community. Edgar "Bob" grew up in his grandparents house as a teenager in the 80's. He had many battles with his grandfather. As an adult, he now admires his grandparents advice at the time he often ignored. He now also appreciates his grandfather taking him to places that  grandpa Fannin wanted no part of.

Edgar Rider's first book is entitled Go Bare Maximum aka Riding Out The Kipling Effect. It is a narrative journey he undertook with a friend living in an eccentric ladies front room. The Kipling Effect is about navigating through outside challenges and obstacles at the same time trying to focus on a specific objective. The main character Carrie Kipling lived in complete turmoil and anxieties mostly due to fake health problems and hanging out with manipulative moocher friends.

His second book titled 5990 A Tribute Story About Grandparents is about being raised by his mom and grandparents. Paul Fannin was a well known politician but retired and became a full time grandpa helping raise three grandchildren. His secret weapon was his wife Elma. She tried to smooth things over when the teenagers made mistakes. Generational differences became apparent they were born right after World War I. The three siblings were growing up in the 80s. It was time where pop culture was a pivotal part of their growing up. Grandpa and Grandma Fannin did the best they could. Trying to get young people to pay attention. This is a story about grandparents playing an important role in the family dynamic.

He has also written Transcending in The Fictional Burnout. It is a book of Fictional comeback stories. Some of the stories explain living for purpose and other stories are about what happens when people take unfortunate shortcuts or go down a destructive path. The stories are in different genres such as Horror, Science Fiction, Action Adventure, Spiritual and Literary Fiction. Some of the dark stories are Charred Fried Works,Charisma Corner, Making Maynard, Playtime in the Desert and Plantation Playground.
