What happens when you give up everything to pursue Christ? This is a fascinating true story of a Muslim woman who moved to the United States from Pakistan, lived in a Muslim community in California and then shocked everyone by thwarting the tradition of arranged marriage by marrying an American. She was disowned for that action, but then was reconciled with her family when she agreed to have a Muslim and a Christian wedding ceremony. After the events of 9/11, she decided to delve deeper into her faith by reading the Quran and praying to Allah. When she encountered the chapter on Jesus (Isa in the Surah Maryam), she couldn't figure out why this prophet was so different. She then prayed to God to give her the truth and show her the way. He pointed to One: Jesus Christ. This book addresses her journey and stresses the importance of sharing the Good News of Christ. Mona lived in the United States for 25 years without an authentic witness to the pure Gospel. She shares how the Hand of God reached out and closed the gap between the East and the West.

I love the book!! Mona is very entertaining in her writing and she is able to bring the audience into her home and culture. I love every part of the book, and especially where she talks about the tradition of her tea time at 4pm daily. It is very 'cozy' to read about it and how that stays with her till now.

I also love the part where she compares the hospitality in her home country versus here in the West. In her book, Mona helps Christians understand that they need not complicate the way they can reach Moslem, we can all smile and be kind to them. No special secret! She helps us see that being real in our love walk is most important than knowing the formula on how to share the gospel as we know it.

The book has opened my eyes and help me see the simplicity on how to share the Good News to others!

What an inspiration, this book takes you through the author's personal struggle as she climbs to the next level of spirituality. The courage to break from the traditional perspective and choose the next level demonstrates that each one us has the potential, at every moment of our existence, to choose and live according to the moral principals and philosophy we find closest to "our" understanding or truth. Thank you for sharing your gift in such a profound and beautiful way, Mona.

Mona Sabah's autobiographical story of transformation from the law of Islam to the freedom of forgiveness in Jesus Christ is told with a mixture of humor and spiritual depth. Many of her stories have stayed in my memory. After hearing the words, "Go to church" in her spirit, and knowing that they couldn't be for her, she thought they must be for her non-Muslim husband. This led to a series of events that resulted in both of them deciding to follow Jesus. The writing style is authentic and accessible. I recommend this impactful book for Christians, for Muslims and for anyone with spiritual curiosity.

Many times It is a challenge for me to finish a book, but this was not the case after reading the first few words in Mona's story! She had such a way of drawing me into her story, that I finished it in less than a day, and wanted to hear more! I recommend this book to both "Christian" and Muslim. It gives the Christian reader a chance to truly see the culture and religion of our Muslim neighbors and friends, while at the same time it gives a Muslim reader a chance to see one woman's search to read and know her holy book, and how that took her into a journey for searching for truth. I found it very interesting that she asked her mom hard questions, and she then followed the advice of her mom.." Seek the truth from God, and He will show you the way." She sets a great example of searching for truth, finding Jesus, and then following Him, no matter what the cost.

I found this to be an amazing book. In this country we take the ability to choose to join a religious organization, or not, to be an unquestioned right and one that is not given nearly enough appreciation. In Mona’s world it surely was not that simple. Her decision to become a Christian came at a high cost and indeed came with threats to her personal freedom. I expected this to be an interesting story, but did expect it to be a page-turner! The story is well written and worth anyone’s time. Excellent book.

I believe some people truly have a gift to hear God's voice so loud and clear. My mind was intrigued to read this book but my heart was changed forever as I read each line. This was a simply read that I could not put down. My life was on hold until I finished it. I have heard this woman speak in person and she not only educates the audience with her wisdom and knowledge on both Islam and Christianity but entertains the audience with her personality and vulnerability. This book is only the tip of the iceberg for her passion for Christ and the impact she makes on a person's heart and mind is life changing!

Great read for those looking for a straight-forward, personal, and beautiful telling of a Muslim woman's conversion to Christianity. Courageous story that illuminates her journey, but told in a loving way without all of the harsh rhetoric that seems to typically accompany a discussion of differing faiths.
