About the Author

Dr. Michael Youssef was born in Egypt and lived in Lebanon and Australia before coming to the United States and fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming an American citizen. He holds degrees from Moore College in Sydney and Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and holds a doctorate in social anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta. He founded The Church of the Apostles, which was the launching pad for Leading The Way’s international ministry. Dr. Youssef has authored more than forty books, including popular titles such as Saving Christianity? and When the Crosses Are Gone. He and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Atlanta.

Michael Youssef, Ph.D., is the Founder and President of Leading The Way with Dr. Michael Youssef, a worldwide ministry that leads the way for people living in spiritual darkness to discover the light of Christ through the creative use of media and on-the-ground ministry teams (LTW.org). His weekly television programs and daily radio programs are broadcast in 27 languages and seen worldwide, airing more than 14,000 times per week. He is also the founding pastor of The Church of The Apostles in Atlanta, Georgia, with more than 3,000 members.

Dr. Youssef was born in Egypt and lived in Lebanon and Australia before coming to the United States. In 1984, he fulfilled a childhood dream of becoming an American citizen. He holds degrees from Moore College in Sydney, Australia, and from Fuller Theological Seminary in California. In 1984, he earned a Ph.D. in social anthropology from Emory University. He and his wife reside in Atlanta and have four grown children and 11 grandchildren.

Years ago I went through some pretty horrible life changing things with joy, peace, and hope (even my pastor shook his head and asked how I had so much peace and joy). But in the past few years I've experienced hopelessness, discouragement, and depression. I have increased my Bible study time, taken supplements - and even medication, all to no avail. Then I got this book and things changed.

Through this book, I realized that years ago I spent time at the piano praising God. The worse things were, the more time I spent at the piano. I also listened to praise and worship music and encouraging sermons regularly. They lifted me up. They gave me incredible joy and peace in the midst of my storms.

This book is not just a read-thru book. It also has the action steps and study notes to really get it engrained into your heart and mind. I found it inspiring. I have my peace, hope, and joy back. And best of all, that close relationship I used to have with God, that's back, too.

I highly recommend this book - especially today when the world is SO crazy. I plan to facilitate a Bible study using this book - everything I need to do the study is in the back of the book. No separate study guide required.
