Hea y'all I finished reading Cheyenne by Lisa Wiedmeier and you know this book was really a refreshing read! The striking cover will fool most onlookers into thinking this is a strictly romance novel but I am here to tell you it is so much more than that. I really liked this book it sucked me in from chapter one where your presented with Cheyenne a girl who has had a close to normal life with her parents, her only complaints were the constant moving which inhibited her from making friends but now almost grown and ready to graduate with her best friend Colt, Cheyennes' life is about to be completely thrown into a tornado of emotions and pain. Lisa does a wonderful job painting the scenes in this book as most takes place in lush wooded areas or by waterfalls that would take your breath away if seen in real life. Every scene is described in so much detail that you feel as if your walking along side Cheyenne as the journey into her new and kind of unwanted life begins. Enter Callon and Daniel the other pieces to Cheyennes' new life the three guys she will journey with, fall for and fight for her life with. The male characters are handsome and can be irritating at times, much like real men that's why it's so easy to love them. Cheyenne faces decisions that will not only affect her life but the lives of several other clans of people. Can she be their salvation, can she carry the burden of what her parents started, or will she turn away broken and defeated? This book is so intense the action scenes are grandly detailed and well plotted never leaving the reader wanting for anymore. The book is loaded with humor and witticism, causing me several times to burst out laughing when poor Cheyenne gets into her antics and those guys love to tease and torment her about her mistakes. Heart warming scenes of friendship and love keep the book well paced and inviting as the characters grow to love one another on so many different levels. My heart raced and my breath quickened when the book rounded the ending I was left desperately wanting book 2 now. I've become entwined in the lives of the Timeless and can't wait to read where they go and what is to come for Cheyenne as her mind bending life carries her forward with her protectors into an unknown future. 5 out of 5 stars for Cheyenne book 1 in the Timeless series by Lisa Wiedmeier.

First off, let me say one thing: Cheyenne is worth a read. I've read multiple reads saying the story has this potential or it could've been that good. In my not-so-subtle opinion, I say that this book did deliver, and it was that good. I loved the plot, and the characters were developed well enough so you could see yourself wanting to interact with them yourself. The descriptions of the various places visited is lovely to say the least; I sure wish I could find some of the places described in this book...

Again, the characters are ones you can find yourself wanting to meet and interact with. Daniel had to be my favorite character to read, Lily a close second. They have such a genuine nature that you can't help but smile whenever their names come up on the page you're reading. Yes, they are that awesome.

All in all, this book definitely lives up to its potential; though, I do admit there could have been more depth to Cheyenne, but she is coming into this unknown world so I'll cut her some slack. She came off a bit whiney at times, but I would have complained too, so I can't say too much about her... With that said, the book is a great read. I'll be heading on to book two for sure.

I know there are many reviews on here (probably more than half) saying that this book is stupid, slow, and not worth your time but honestly, I LOVED this book! As soon as I finished it, I bought the rest of the series!
It might have been a bit slow at first but it picked up--especially once the boys showed up! ;)
If you want action, action, and more action with no rest in between once it starts, then this book probably won't interest you too much. There is plenty of action but with rest periods in between, which I personally like.
There is action, romance, angst, friendship, trust, heartbreak, family, humor and many other things in this book waiting for you!!! Just give it a try!
And honestly, if you think you might like the book from reading the description or some of the reviews, then try a sample! If you still like it, buy it! But just the first one. I'm pretty sure that by the end of the first one, you'll be wanting, no needing, to buy the next one! Good thing they give you some snippets from the next one in both books one and two!
Good luck and I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have!
Happy reading! :)

Looking forward to reading the rest of this series. Book one has me hooked. I didn’t want to put it down until I was done. Now I want to know what will happen next, what will happen to these characters and who is going to triumph in the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, Refreshingly different

I originally bought a Kindle version of this, but have since bought a hardback copy as I do with all books I really enjoy and plan to read again. I really enjoy Y A fantasy/paranormal romances, but do find that there are a lot that follow a similar theme. Cheyenne however is refreshingly different and very enjoyable. Cheyenne herself is a believable character who you find yourself empathising with as she struggles to come to terms with her parent's death and tries to solve the mystery of who she really is. There are also three handsome men who seem to have mysteries of their own. I won't give too much away other than to say this is a 'must read' for anyone who loves paranormal/fantasy, romance, adventure and I can't wait for the next instalment in the series!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good start to an interesting series

This is not my typical read, but I found it entertaining - the main character is flawed but very likeable, although immature at times. It's acceptable because she is sheltered and inexperienced - clearly, the events in this story are meant to change that. The formula is somewhat predictable as her whole world is turned upside down by tragedy and the revelation of a secret that takes its time to unravel. Despite that, it's not a dull read. There are surprises and peeks into the person she will grow into. The romance elements are complicated but interesting and hold promise. I want to know what happens next.

At first I thought...how long is it going to take for things to heat up and then as I was getting slightly irritated with the story it kind of threw me. There was a fair few moments like that where I actually had to think where things were going but I do have to say it kept catching me, quite happy to read the next one.
