I work as a lecturer and author on the field of mind control. My training is in hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programming and persuasion.

I often tell the story of being a child of 10 and seeing the hypnotist at the county fair and realizing that I could do what he did... and wanting to do it. That was the start.

Years have past since then and it still seems my journey has only started. I've lectured, had a full time hypnosis practice, worked with the homeless and written oodles of books.

Having just finished this book I can only reflect on the sad state of publishing.

All you need is a good title it seems. After that all you need is a bunch of Amazon log-ons so that you can write glowing references.

This book is the most appallingly written book ever--there are elementary spelling, grammatical and factual errors that any real publisher would have spotted straight away, on every page.

Apparently, India doesn't need a capital letter, and was ruled by the English (sic) for only 90 years, while Warren Buffet (sic) invented Microsoft Windows.

The author has just shamelessly stolen the most cliched parts from other pop-psych books such as Greene and Covey and has presented them (poorly) as if they are Earth-shattering revelations. There's more insight on the Oprah show.

The book is something which has been presented to turn a quick buck: double spaced, big font, with new topics starting every couple of pages immediately following empty space.

The author spends the first 30 pages explaining why this book is awesome, and "forbidden" why by reading it you are "trapped". He then rehashes some stuff in the middle before devoting the end 30 pages to re-rehashing what he's already covered, except this time with bullet-points!

All this from a book which is only 148 pages long.

I'm really interested in some of the reviews for this book--most of the ones that give this book 5 stars were written by people who reviewed and rated the book more than once, on the same day and also seem to have very poor grammatical skills....hmmmm.

Give this a wide berth, and save your money

As far as the negative reviews of this book go, I can only conclude that the reviewers have either not read the book or they are simply too lazy to implement the instructions within the book. If they are ardent folowers of "The Secret," they are probably waiting for the "Wish Fairy" to fulfill their wishlist!

I am sure that some people have been able to obtain varying positive results from The Secret. However, the vast majority of its readers will derive little or no benefit from it, for reasons too diverse to cover here in this review. If you would like to read The Secret's reviews, please look this title up and see for yourself.

This book methodically shows you how to really decide what you want from life, craft a plan to achieve your goals, and ways to keep up your initiative. If you will use the picture of the book to read the table of contents, you will note that it shows that the book sets a trap for you.

Yes indeed, the author does set a mental trap for you leaving you with only two basic choices on what to do with the information you have now discovered; You can stay where you are, or you can utilize the material and become a "Force Of Nature!"

There is nothing mystical or magical about the contents of this book. What this book does is to show you how to start thinking for yourself! No small achievement today. A few people achieve great things in their life, while most of us muddle through life wondering what happened when we get older.

If you read this book and actually follow through with the contents, you will not be waking up years later wondering what happened to your life.

I read a lot of books and I always recognize when one is of higher quality than others. That is when the book actually TEACHES you something you've never known before that is incredibly USEFUL and makes a big difference in your life!

The FORBIDDEN BOOK is an Excellent book which contain many powerful insights that really helped me in my life. I especially liked the part about BEING A FORCE OF NATURE.

"Have you ever met someone who lives life as if they are force
of nature? When you've taken the opportunity to speak with them, what
you'll learn is that they can tell you exactly what they are going to
accomplish. They will tell you this with a calm and unshakable sense
of certainty. They may even seem as if they have already accomplished
it or as if they have seen the future and have come back to tell you
what will happen."

"Because they have thought so thoroughly about what they want
and how they want to live as they go after it, unforeseen events are rare
and of little consequence."

"THE WORST THING an unforeseen event might do is delay the inevitable attainment of their goal. When the unforeseen occurs they have a plan on how they will respond. That is the depth of their self-understanding."

This ONE INSIGHT was SO POWERFUL that it helped me become unstoppable in the face of the difficulties I may be facing. If you want to know the SECRETS of success that are NOT found in other books, you might want to read the one and only Forbidden Book. I have and I totally love it!

I have no respect for this type of literature that encourages and promotes greed & selfishness, with no thought for others. Also, I believe the author of this book is indirectly suggesting that Y'shua (Jesus) was a conman - I ripped it up and through it in the bin, I wouldn't even give it away never mind selling it on.

For the price, I was disappointed with this book. I suppose I should have known that the quality of the book was questionable by the cheesy cover and title. The information in the book was okay, but there aren't any ideas here that haven't already been presented in other books, and with better clarity I might add. The most glaring thing wrong with this book is the editing, or lack thereof! There were so many run-on sentences and sentences lacking correct punctuation that reading this book became a chore. I had to reread sentences because incorrect words were used. Seeing all the typos suggests to me that this author was only concerned with turning a quick buck. Please save your money and pass on this one. On a positive note, this was my first purchase on Amazon and I was pleased with how quickly I received my order. I look forward to ordering something from Amazon again, hopefully something I can post a favorable review on!
