I bought this to replace a non functioning "battery level" meter on an electric wheelchair. I am recovering from knee surgery and use a battery scooter to cover long distances at work. The battery went dead in an airport at the end of a long day and the battery level meter showed full! I quickly discovered it didnt work at all, showing full from 30v down to 10v. completely useless! I found this round meter that was roughly the same size, allowing me to reuse the existing panel opening. I was worried about its quality and accuracy, but my testing proves it is always identical or within a tenth of a volt to my calibrated fluke meter. I can now accurately track my battery power and plan for charging. This has been a lifesaver!

The media could not be loaded.
 I installed this on the front panel of my fishing boat to monitor the voltage from the trolling motor batteries. It is near flush, so it does not get in the way. Display is clear and visible. Inline on/off switch was attached to the positive side of the circuit which was attached to the terminals of the trolling motor plug connection in the front panel. The voltage reading of 25.1 was 0.02 volts off from the 24.9 volt multi-meter reading at the batteries. Plenty accurate for this application.

This is a neat little meter but it didn't last a day... I put it on my 1967 CL77 Honda 305 and apparently a voltage spike burnt in out... I think a Shunt Resistor is needed inline to protect these LED meters... I also bought a Supposed Voltage and amp overload protection LED meter and it too burnt out in a couple days.. So these are not very durable on a Bike and you will not see them in the bright sunlight... at night they show up good, but not in the daytime. Other than that, they are neat looking little gauges and will probably hold up OK in a car or boat and in the shaded area inside a car or boat you will see these just fine... For me I think I am going to try an analog meter with a shunt resistor and see if I have better luck... at least I'll be able to see it in the daylight on the bike...

One thing to note is that it does have an amp draw (not sure how much) so make sure your wires and fuses are able to handle it. Some LEDs and this popped a 7 amp glass buss fuse.
