Amy Monarch is a tireless volunteer at the Dupont Rescue and Recovery Center, an establishment for the destitute founded by her mother. There, Amy has kept her identity a carefully guarded secret. She is actually Princess Amelia Marguerite Louise DeLaGrande of Remeth. Working at Dupont offers the opportunity to serve in blessed disguise.

Fresh into a promising career in commercial real estate brokerage, Patrick Sawyer returns to the picturesque isle of Remeth intending to reconnect with his collegiate study abroad friends and figure out ‘what's next' in his life. Since his father's passing, the world he knows leaves him uninspired. He volunteers at Dupont during his visit, and becomes enchanted by Amy.

But Amelia is trapped within a silken web. When she reveals who she is, Patrick pulls back. He's not interested in royalty—at all—but how can she ever break free? How can she find a way to service and God's plan for her life? Most of all, how can she reconcile the call she feels toward a remarkable man who may be ‘common,' yet is ‘uncommon' when it comes to matters of the heart?

Marianne Evans gives readers a delightful story reminiscent of the old Audrey Hepburn movie, Roman Holiday, the classic story of a princess and a commoner but with a modern twist. If you're looking for an escape from reality, you won't want to miss this one. The characters are well-drawn, and the descriptions of the fictional country bring the beauty of the Mediterranean to life. My one complaint is the less than perfect editing. For the record, the French grilled cheese sandwich is a croque-monsieur, not a croquet-monsieur, and there's a big difference between "principals" and "principles." I'm also not sure how anyone can rebuke a crown. If you can overlook those and other editing mistakes, this could be just the right story for you.

What a awesome story! Such a beautiful fairytale. I so loved the characters. Amy Monarch is volunteering at Dupont Rescue and Recovery Center. But in order to work there she has to keep her identity a secret. Cause she is really a princess. She meets Patrick Sawyer there who is in real estate. There with a friend trying to figure out what he wants in life. He is all lined up to take over his fathers position after his death, but Patrick isn't sure that's what he wants for his life. Working at the Center he is getting very smitten with Amy. Amy feels she needs to come clean and tell him who she really is. Can a princess and a commoner make it? Two lives so totally different. Patrick isn't sure of all the publicity. Will he listen to what God has in mind for him?
Loved this story by Marianne. Very well written!

We all have a dream a fairytale if you will. Amelia wants nothing more than to do what she loves but with the demands and obligations will she be able to?
Patrick is in search of answers, is what he's been trained his whole life to do, really his biggest desire?
Marianne takes these two on a journey of discovery. Fairytale shows how you can help your dreams come true. What comes from deep inside us is what makes us beautiful. Others can push us this way or that, but when you follow your heart and what you feel God wants you to do, you might just be the answer to someone's fairytale.
Are you ready?
I give Fairytale five inspiring stars.

If you enjoyed fair tales as a child you will surely enjoy this "adult faurytale". The characters are described in such a way as to be believable and yet seem to belong in the fairytale realm. Amelia/Amy demonstrates how royalty, amidst all its glory, can still have a heart for those less fortunate. The story of Patrick and Amelia/Amy is a real tribute to the innate goodness of human nature. And all through the story the hand of God is seen leading and guiding both of them to follow His designs. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is still young enough in spirit to believe in fairytales.

Amelia is a amazing young woman. When she meets Patrick both of their lives will change. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. I had the honor to review this book for the author. You will feel God working throughout this whole story. This book deserves a higher rating than a five star review.
