OK -- nuts for batteries.
This is the brand you want for consistency.
I use Panasonic chargers and several others. Panasonic chargers do not 'push' as much voltage into the state of charge upon completion -- probably this tends to increase battery life. My preferred charger is a MAHA - MH-C401FS . . . if you can still find one -- discontinued. I have three.
In any case I slow charge watching for too much heat and explicitly 'rest' and rotate all the batteries in my 'fleet'.
When used with a phone a full state of charge is not reachable, even if you swap in another set of charged AAs, but it can keep you going when you are away from alternatives -- while still being available for flashlights and such.
When you buy rechargeables -- mark and date them to observe how long a lifetime you are getting for your $$$. Even Eneloops are not perfect.
All my AAs & AAAs are Eneloops.
In 15 years I 'think' I have only had 2 out of several dozens that have failed.

Once the eneloop batteries are fully charged, simply close the cover and connect your USB mobile phone cord (not included) to the “DC Out 5V” USB port on the CC87 charger. (AA batteries will provide more power than AAA). |
After connecting the CC87 to your mobile device, press the “USB Out” button on the charger. The LED lights will flash green, indicating the charging process has begun. The charge indicator on your device may also light up. |
The CC87 utilizes a 5V 1A USB charging port. Charge times for mobile devices will vary. When the power for a battery cell has been exhausted, the corresponding LED light will turn red, indicating that cell is out of power. |
When the charging process is complete, each of the four LED lights on the CC87 charger will turn red. Disconnect the USB cord from your device. The CC87 can then be used to start charging the eneloop cells again. |
