Compact and versatile, high quality.
I replaced an ancient version of this B&D toaster oven (circa 2010) that I used in my engineering office before retiring. This new model, esp with the air fryer feature, is perfect for my garage workshop. Though it would serve well on my kitchen counter. It is small, but the inside space accommodates larger dishes than my previous oven, thanks to a somewhat rounded back. Be advised that the air fryer works quickly, so take out your French fries or chicken nuggets before they are incinerated. Also when you are turning off, note that the lower timer knob "off" position is designated by a circle. If you turn the knob past the "off" position (completely counterclockwise) it is in "stay on" position. Overall very pleased with B&D quality and appearance.

Not looking to roast a chicken, bake a cake, etc. Just something for when a microwave won't do (you need crispy) and you don't want to heat up the whole kitchen by firing up a big oven (especially during the summer in Florida). This little appliance does the trick. Heats up instantly, no pre-heating. Melts the cheese on an open faced sandwich in just a couple of minutes. Has a crumb tray for easy clean up. The controls are super basic. I mostly use the toaster timer, which makes a hilariously retro ticking sound (apparently it uses an old-fashioned mechanical timer), and just watch through the glass window to see when things are done, since cook time is usually just a couple of minutes for what I'm doing. No digital displays or controls. Really basic. Which also means really inexpensive. Controls weren't immediately intuitive, but by "immediate" I mean that it took me all of a minute or two to figure out how to make the toaster oven do what I wanted. Simple. I already have a full-size oven for serious baking, so I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars and take up a lot of counter space for a fancy appliance. This simple, small, inexpensive toaster oven is just what I needed -- basically a horizontal, enclosed toaster, just like I remember from the good 'ol days.

I normally do not write reviews but I thought this product deserves some attention. I have over thirty years experience in electronic repair and I can assure you that heat is the primary killer of electronics. Who ever thought of putting circuitry in a toaster was a ding dong. Furthermore, all of these newer type toasters use small fans to keep the electronics inside cool. The problem is these small very very poor quality fans are highly prone to failure. I have replaced hundreds over the years. This toaster has none of those concerns and should last a long time. Finally, this toaster works really well. The temperature controls is accurate and the air fry also works great. What I personally like is the separate toast control. Set the dial to toast, crank the bottom dial and let it go. Makes toast right now evenly on the top and bottom. All in all, a good product at a price cheaper than other sophisticated models without the high failure rate.

After a bad experience with an Air Fryer Toaster Oven (the digital dials didn't work), I decided to go back to a regular toaster oven. I've had Black and Decker toaster ovens before and they always did the job. I was happy to see that this one came with an Air Fry function so I was getting more than just a toaster. It took me a few tries to figure out how to set the timer to get my toast done but not burnt, but now it's working well and I'm mostly satisfied. I tried to use the Air Fryer to heat some frozen chicken wings, and while the function worked, I was disappointed that there was only one height for the rack and it was too close to the heating element.. For me, this is not a deal breaker since I have a convection setting on my oven, but if I had bought this specifically for the air fryer option, I would have sent it back.

I tend to like Black & Decker products so that is why I bought this toaster oven. It has an air fryer option but I have never used an air fryer before and did not buy it for that reason. I did try the air fryer option with french fries and it cooked them really well! The toaster works great. And using it as an oven is great too. It cooks everything well. I like the size as you can put more slices of bread at a time or have enough room for bagels and not crowd them. It came with the air fryer basket and another pan you can use. I found it to be a good value.

Purchased for my elderly mother in law. She needed something simple to use and easy to clean. This countertop oven does a great job, and keeps her from having to bend over and try to get things in and out of a large oven. Since she lives alone its perfect for what she needs to prepare meals. The large buttons/display screen are great for her, and given her age, we find anything overly complicated doesn't end well. The simplicity of use is what we looked high and low for. We were on a mission to get her something that did not have all the extra buttons like so many others do that say things like, Popcorn, Poultry, Pizza, etc. All those types left her scratching her head and she kept going back to trying to use a big oven and bending over and hurting her back. Having the oven, toaster, and air fryer all in one with a simple use design made this the perfect find for her situation. Thank you Black and Decker!

Love this toaster oven. Has all the features I was looking for including Air fry. I have used this to bake, warm up items, air fry and toast. It’s easy to clean. I air fried some barbecue wings and they splattered everywhere, so once the oven cooled I took it apart and everything cleaned up nicely. The instructions were clear as I had a smaller toaster oven before this, so it was pretty easy to figure out. My husband and I use this toaster oven to cook a lot of our meals instead of our full size oven. It’s large, takes up a lot of counter space, but it’s well worth it.
