Nonetheless, this book is one of my top five texts!
Highly recommended.
The only way I was able to piece together the story of embryology is to buy five books and read them all. All authors contradict one another but you can get a pretty good story by reading them all.
If I had to pick just one embryology book out of all of them (Larsen, Langman, Carlson, Singh and Moore) I would have to go with Carlson, which is not a Board of chiropractic examiners book, unfortunately. This one is by far the most comprehensive, but it to, like all of them, are not well edited and just don't tell a good flowing story.
There's definitely a market for someone to write a good comprehensive embryology book that tells a good and understandable story, for none of the books do. This is probable way students struggle so much with the subject of embryology and just basically memorize things to get by rather than really understanding.
