Great Suspense Read!

Great Suspense Read!
This well-written mystery/suspense novel was a delightful change of pace from my usual thriller reads, as it had cozy mystery vibes, but with several murders!A young aspiring actress is troubled over the disturbing murder scene she acts out in her acting class. Exhausted after a long day, she returns to her empty apartment and prepares for bed, not realizing that she is about to reenact that scene in real life! After a string of seemingly unconnected Hollywood murders, a witness in the Cassie Garrison case makes an observation that cues Detectives Blade and Parker onto the other murders. Working with a team of detectives, Blade and Parker compare notes and come up with an action plan to zero in on a clever killer.Meanwhile the killer is stalking another victim! Will the detectives figure out the killer’s identity before another young actress dies? This story alternates between Detective Emma’s viewpoint and the third person perspective of the other detectives, and at times, the murderer. The action moves quickly with short chapters. I thought the storyline was original and intriguing. I was certain I knew who the killer was, (but I was so wrong!) and I had to keep reading to the startling conclusion to see if there would be another victim. I also particularly enjoyed that one of the detectives was a Christian and his character and beliefs were subtly worked into the storyline without being overpowering.I really liked the main characters, Detectives Emma Blade and Matt Parker and I hope there will be more books with this likable pair of detectives. My sincere thanks to @rrbooktours for my digital copy and my spot on this tour. My thoughts are my own.

The detectives, Emma and Mat, are smart and share a passion for solving the mystery of "who done it." They have a good moral compass. The drama in the Hollywood script sets the stage for the brutal murders. I kept reading with the hope that the killer would be caught. Thrilling ending!

A very interesting story. I loved the characters. I'm so happy to find an author who isn't afraid to put God in the story. I hope she has more on the way. I will be keeping an eye out for more.

Cut Action Murder is a good murder mystery and Christian suspense novel. It keeps the reader wanting to continue to the next chapter and read to the end. Besides figuring out who the killer is, the novel is surprising because it helps to spread the message of Christianity and why praying is important in all situations. There is no foul language in the book and features a nice plot. I recommend that you read it.

It's a fast paced story that had me engaged right from the start. Even though it's a murder mystery, the main characters are such decent people the book actually left me with a sense well being. Well done!
