I have to say that this is one of the most accessible and effective books on entrepreneurship I've ever read. Joe is so forthright, humble, and honest about his journey that you end up feeling less like you've read a book and more like you've had a long conversation with a friend over coffee.
The best thing about this book, however, is the inclusion of the "hero" metaphor for leaving the rat race and becoming your own boss. As someone who's been trying to escape the daily grind for years, I have to say this is the first book that's every really made me feel like I can do it. The author just lays the entire journey out for you as if it were a walk from one part of town to another. Not only does he tell you how to get there, but he tells you what changes you need to make to your mindset in order to become the type of person who can be successful.
Another thing I like about this book is how accessible it makes real estate. I guess I've always considered that industry to be something that you had to do full-time in order to make any money or have any success. Joe, however, treats real estate as just another part of a well-balanced and diversified investment strategy. I'd never thought of it this way, and I started fantasizing about old properties in my town before I'd even finished the book.
In short, you can get a lot from this book. From non-real estate folks to those curious about flipping houses to those that area all in on commercial properties, this success story is something every entrepreneur should read.

What do you need to be successful? This book ! Yes that is right. When you want to know how to be successful in real estate there are some many things to look at. Many times you are left feeling like there is way to much information to figure out what to do next.
That is where this book will come in handy. It takes away the confusion of what to do next. Joe really outlines what to be aware of when it comes to setting up a successful real estate investing company. What really helps is when you have a person who has made money as a real estate investor, take the time to break it out in a simple and easy to use format.
This book feels like Joe is right there talking to you in a very simple clear way about his method to be successful as real estate investor.
Setting up your business the right way the first time saves you down the road. Joe explains how to do that and so much more.
Over all this is a great book that outlines a path toward success, it is up to you to take the steps to becomes a success. This book show you how to do it.

This book sets out by making a promise and concludes by delivering on that promise successfully. It’s not a generic self help book. It is more of a companion on a journey that assumes a role as a mentor encouraging you to become your best self. Sure there are some suggestions and recommendations but they are often delivered in the form of stories and anecdotes that add a very practical basis for them being there. In the book Joe shares his journey and passes on his lessons learned in hopes that the reader pursues their own journey of personal success and then shares their growth stories with someone else down the line. It was fun reading a book written by a filmmaker. He really knows how to keep you engaged.
