I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the characters, Dirk's sense of family an his friendly nature with everyone made him so likable. Kendall is an accomplished musician and her talent to work with seniors and special needs children makes her very likable as well. The romance was fun to see grow. I look forward to more of Lyla's books, she is a great author.

OMG - how can you not fall head over heels in love with a guy who decorates a tree house like a tropical resort? Or who loves his family so much and is not uncomfortable demonstrating that love?
And forget about the funniest sex scene I have ever read.....I will never be able to look at a bag of spicy pork rinds again without cracking up.

Really fun & enjoyable book. I just love all these crazy, zany characters that inhabit Pleasure Island. Keep them coming.

I have never posted a review before, but I couldn't NOT post one on this new series by Lyla Dune. Hands down she is my favorite author since I discovered Jill Shalvis' books. Like Jill, she does an exceptional job of creating character personalities. I love that! To me that is the most important part of a book. I both laughed out loud as well as cried. I got the first book free on Bookbub, fell in love, and immediately purchased the other two books in the Pleasure Island series. I cannot wait to read Leah's story. This is a purchase you will not regret. Save yourself some time and just buy them all now, because you're gonna do it anyway.
