China's Rise and the New Age of Gold: How Investors Can Profit from a Changing World Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 42 ratings

The radical change coming to the global economy—and the investments you need to make sure you stay ahead of the curve

China’s growing role in the global economy is showing no sign of retreat. Indeed, recent events have only increased China’s influence—to the point where China is poised to edge out the United States and take the lead. For investors like you, this tectonic shift poses difficult challenges—along with tremendous opportunities.

In
China’s Rise and the New Age of Gold, one of the 21st Century’s top economic experts, Stephen Leeb, lays out his compelling argument that explosive gains in gold lie ahead. Gold’s price will increase dramatically to as high as $20,000 an ounce. Investing in gold will be the best (and perhaps only) way to generate substantial investing profits in this decade and beyond.

Leeb draws from his vast knowledge of macro-economic trends and current market conditions to explain China’s plans to launch a new monetary system centered on gold, which will largely supplant the global dollar-based monetary system. And he provides you with the tools you need to invest in all things gold, including in gold itself, gold mutual funds and ETFs, and the right mining companies.

The author paints a picture of a fully transformed investing world—one that will make important yet temporary events like the 2008 financial meltdown and coronavirus crash pale in comparison. This prescient guide to 21st Century investing delivers the knowledge and insight you need to draw unprecedented profits as China’s rise truly launches a new age of gold.

The Leebs have written a great book! It is timely, informative, well written, and engaging. Stepen Leeb’s research and information about investing in gold is logical, excellent and factual. The book presents a point by point argument with common similies and facts, and it is very convincing.

On another level, the book leads us through the various U. S. vs China comparisons: comparisons that educate the reader to the pros and cons of the Chinese patient long-term approach to problem solving compared to the U.S.’s confrontational short-term profit-based approach. For example, China’s slow but steady progress toward a new reserve currency, and its investment in developing countries as well as the country’s infrastructure. China has brought a huge part of the population out of poverty, and the U.S. poverty levels continue to grow.

Finally, I was impressed by the authors’ conclusion that the U. S. and China should cooperate for a solution to differences. Leeb states that, “Trying to “win” by crippling China is the very epitome of suicidal shortsighted behavior. Taking a long-term view and seeking ways and areas where we fruitfully work together to everyone’s benefit, would be rising to the occasion in a way that future generations will be grateful for”. Stephen Leeb gives detailed information about companies and how to invest in gold for those who may have no access to this information.

As the USA continues to pile up debt, China appears to be securing enough gold to back their currency. A gold backed Yuan will probably become a competitor to the USA dollar as the dollar becomes less desirable to countries around the world. A recent example is Russia getting rid of its USA dollars and purchasing both gold and the Chinese Yuan to conduct business. Looks like an international game changer for both the USA and possibly the IMF. The author is a well known authority on economics and has become well versed on the emergence of gold as countries all over the world are purchasing gold along with central banks.

China’s Rise and the New Age of Gold is a thoughtful and remarkably accessible book that explains, almost in conversational style, the reasons for China’s increasing economic dominance and the opportunities it presents for investing in gold. While gold is popularly viewed as an inflation hedge, the book’s argument is more fundamental, based on the scarcity of the resource and the projected demand from China alone. Beyond making a compelling investment case, the book has value in methodically explaining China’s long-term perspective in developing its economy, compared to America’s short-term approach which has eroded our standing in the world. I highly recommend Stephen Leeb’s book.

This book explained what nobody else will tell you, the next step in the world financial system, on a gold standard. It is to every country's interest (except the US) to push this through. Even if it doesn't happen, gold still goes up in value.

This new book by Stephen and Donna Leeb makes a compelling case for rising gold and commodity prices, with concrete advice on how to adjust your portfolio to benefit from these trends. Contains practical advice for investing in gold, including pros/cons of owning physical gold and investing in miners. Very well-written and cogently argued. Strongly recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars meh!

The whole book is practically based on a vacuum theory that china will some how reign supreme while the USA stands idle. A lot of speculation is what you get in this book. Leeb's Oil Factor had a lot of theories also, at least they were theories, however as it turned out the theory was thwarted by something as simple as government stimulus. This book is way more speculative. So not a good read. Yes China has a belt initiative where it builds roads in poor countries, it is questionable if these poor countries can even pay china and as seen recently AUS reneged and opted out of the BELT initiative. In the future gold prices might reach 22K but in the future we ll also all be millionaires, it is called inflation.
