This book arrived in VERY Good condition; you described it as "Good" but it was better than that. Thank you for the good service, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida! It is a charming story of the Underground Railroad.....

Saw a documentary on PBS about crafts and Faith Ringgold was one of the artist's featured. She talked about her book, Tar Beach, and I knew i had to get it, so I went to the library and checked it out. I enjoyed it thoroughly and resolved to get all of her books. I love how she uses color to fill the entire page. Having had family who lived in NYC, I was familiar with NYC rooftops and wasn't sure my southern grandchildren, who live in the country, would appreciate Tar Beach. So, I'm starting them with her, Aunt Harriet's Underground Railroad in the Sky. I would recommend all of her books.

It is crucial to explain to our kids our past and expose them to the meaning of slavery and what it meant to our communities. This book does a great job doing it in a friendly way and embracing the role of antie Harriet who did an amazing thing that should never be forgotten.
