I read this book, took some courses taught the content. It is one of the best personal integrity and leadership books I have read. I have an MBA and wish my professors had introduced this years ago.

This book is a life changing book.

After Stephen Covey embarked on studying all of the American self-help literature since the founding of America. Noticed that around 1950, the emphasis on what was important in personal development changed. Prior to 1950, authors concentrated on personal character, and afterwards concentrated on personal appearance, confidence and attitude.

It clearly explains why personal character is highly superior ones appearance, confidence, and attitude.

He does not claim that appearance, confidence and attitude are unimportant, he would claim that character is foundational. A person who is honest, but doesn't doesn't dress well, or is clumsy in their social interactions, will in the long run, always be esteemed higher than a dishonest person no matter how well dressed, or socially astute they are.

Again, a great book.

As for the seller, I only received one of the three copies of the book. Contacting the seller quickly resolved this problem.

I am so grateful for my mentor in 1980’s groomed a bunch of rag tag new college grad into outstanding leaders in our career as youth mentors! Today I am returning g to these habits to begin grooming the next leaders in the mental health industry! And I can proudly that at least 10 of us became mangers in our field . 7 Habits are easily woven into my Christian beliefs of a character of a person!

The book itself is very good, but it took too long to arrive (13 days). I guess the mail has been slowed with the current postmaster general in charge...

Versione sintetica del libro, molto utile per fissare i concetti chiave. Anche le infografiche utilizzate sono un ottimo spunto. Consigliato

1.0 out of 5 stars Often illegible because you cannot enlarge the letters nor the line spacing.

I have the paperback book at home and wanted the convenience of the kindle version.
So, this version is more like a summary and offers only the key phrases. I was not aware of that when I ordered it.
BUT, what really bothers me and makes this product obsolete is the fact that you cannot change the reading size. Neither letters nor lines can be made bigger (one of the key kindle features) and even with my reading glasses, it is more stress to read than to enjoy this version.
Sorry, this was not made as a kindle product as far as I am concerned

5.0 out of 5 stars Once in a while you come across a book that gives you a chance to re-write your life.. take that chance..
Reviewed in India on February 26, 2015
This is the first review i have ever placed on any site.. Didn't care much about all this crap.. but i was compelled to write for 7 habits..
For the people who are crying about the "low quality paper" . . you don't have to eat it.. you have to read it..

Coming to book - (Although i feel like i am too ignorant to give a review about book, but i can try)
I was constantly stopping myself from underlining all the sentences, still i have blue ink on every page - honestly..
You always wanted a mentor who could show you the path to greatness - a sense of purpose in life - something to live for - something to die for..
You may have messed up childhood or unloving parents.. maybe you were bullied in schools or turned down in your relationships..
You have your social mask on you for many years that you can't even face yourself..
You are wondering why people can't understand you, why people just want to get something from you..
You feel like life is just boring and people are zombies, its just too hard to control ourselves and do what we should do..

You never saw any "human" and you never learned being human..
"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation." - Henry David Thoreau
This is your chance to learn that and stop living a desperate life..

with time, entropy happens(All natural processes are irreversible. All natural processes tend toward increasing disorder).. things get complex and they just get messed up.. you may think that you have time but tomorrow you will have family and kids and other responsibilities.. it won't get easy, it would get harder to organize.. so you have to take active steps to organize it..

how can you do that? well, for starters - READ THIS BOOK
secondly, REVISE THIS BOOK OVER AND OVER AGAIN

What does it talk about?
it talks about the principles - set of principles that governs all the world, it applies to all human beings, they are derived from nature itself - more like the words of god.. this book inspires you to leave the mediocre way of getting "quick fixes" about your visible problems and look for deeper problems - problems of the principles we live by..
"ravan" was doing everything right according to his paradigm(his understanding of reality), and he was hardworking and strong too.. but his paradigm was wrong - his principles were wrong - and hence, lol you know the story..
The thing is, no matter how hard you work or how smart you are, if your direction is wrong - everything is wrong..
This book helps you to see the right direction - the noble direction - the direction where virtue lies, greatness lies..

how to read this book?
you are smart enough to know basic stuff.. but in this book, you have to sit with a computer to read about each topic in detail if that topic is related to you.. People say that it is an easy read and easy to understand - I would have to disagree, it uses easy language but the concepts are deep and each concept(not principles) have books of their own in the market.. you see, this book will give you a shield so that you can face anything in the life.. if you are introvert, think about each topic, if you are an extrovert, talk about these things - use facebook or something..

As a Religion....
Just like the religions unite people and bring them together(oh come on, keep those prejudices aside), this book would help to build a better society, a better organization, a better family, a better life.. where people cooperate and look for each others welfare..
where people overcome the mediocrity of win/loose scarcity mentality and work with a win/win abundance mentality..

last words - there are 130 million(13 Crore) books in this world.. An average Indian reads one or two non - fiction book a year.. if i were smart, i would start with the top 100 books.. This one is among the top 10..
