Having read this story in works of fiction, it was good to actually read it from the pen of Clark himself. Did any man do more to save the revolution than George Rogers Clark?

The book covered a "campaign" of which I had learned only small pieces. The fight on the frontier was quite important but, form my perspective, information was a bit sketchy. It is a memoir and thus one does not expect top notch writing skills or excessive humility. It is worth the work to get through it

Amazing detailed account of the wars on the western frontier written by one if the main actors, George Rogers Clark. He must have realized the historical import of the day and kept meticulous diary Dr o m which he wrote the account. Not only an able military man and leader but a good writer, rare qualities in a man.

The book is an interesting account of the actions covered and gives a good picture of the way the indians were treated during that period.

Robert Louis Stevenson novels pale in comparison and this is not a novel! Clark and his men accomplished an amazing feat with their winter march to Vincennes. I cannot imagine wading through floods for days even in a mild winter. Great book -- read it.

Nothing special. Mildly entertaining.
