I LOVE IT!

I LOVE IT!
I actually bought this book for my sister to read. It's a great book. The age level is perfect for the younger readers like my sister to read and gain more knowledge about the occurrence of the rainbow. I'd find this book very educational and supportive. Science is involved into this book and I feel that it's nice to know the basic things. My sister did enjoy reading this book and she kept it in a safe place. I hope that other readers will find this book beneficial because not a lot teachers would talk or teach about rainbows at school. I think most of the students have no idea how a rainbow is formed and so this book can actually help them learn.

I read this with my daughter (age 6) for our color/rainbow unit in our homeschool. She loved this book!
This is an excellent add on science book for young children. The book is small with big font for beginning readers. Short in length, however, very informative to children. The pictures are wonderful, mostly real life pictures. Gave my daughter a good science lesson on how rainbows are formed (bending light). I also love how this book talks very briefly about Sir Isaac Newton.
Overall, Read About Science reader All the Colors of the Rainbow is wonderful, if you are looking for a interesting book about rainbows that is not too hard, however, not dumbed down for a 5 to 8 year old.

This book for young school-aged children provides a very nice explanation of rainbows and prisms and the nature of light. I sent this book to my grandchildren (ages 4 and 6) in San Diego who will likely never see a rainbow where they live. I sent it along with two hanging prisms so that they could make their own rainbows. It was a nice companion gift and their Mom reports that it made a big hit.

Easy reading for young children.

This book was purchased for my four year old daughter's fourth birthday to go with the Over the Rainbow book and CD. She is a very precocious four year old and wanted a unicorns and rainbow birthday. She loves to learn all the science behind stories and this book fits the bill. It is a very small paperback (to be expected for the price), but is enough on her level to understand its concepts. Should last her many years in the future. The company mailed it in a timely fashion and the shipping cost more than the book, but its worth it for her enjoyment.

As described but smaller than I thought. Which is my bad. I would prefer to have this book larger.

My kids don't love it as much as I do, but I do love it.
I think it's a really simple explanation of colors.

5.0 out of 5 stars
Reviewed in Japan on December 7, 2014

The book provides good information in an age appropriate way. It has answered many of the WHY questions that a four year old tends to come up with. We have enjoyed reading and talking about the information together.
