I love this book. I thought I was prepared for most things. Hurricane storm damage, power outage, and so on. After Hurricane Sandy hit NJ and we lost power for 10 days; I realized how unprepared I was. Yes I prepped. But not well enough and my mind ran away from me when fear set in after day 3 of no heat, no electric and no end to the situation in sight. We had no power or resources anywhere. Every store was closed or out of stock in every item and we were running very low on water, and food after day 7.
I am learning more than ever about taking great care of my family in times of disaster. Read this book and keep it with your emergency kits.

TIred of all the World Ending/Zombie eat your brains prepper stuff? This book is what you need. Let's face it...no one has lived through the end of the world...yet. In fact, if people do live through the "End of the World" can we actually call it the End of the World? By definition the End of the World dictates that no one survives.
Life, on the other hand, is survival. How you prepare for life dictates how well you survive. We cannot rely on the government to care for us. Recently there was a major water problem in the county just south of us and the water supplied by Toledo was not just undrinkable but poison. Two days after they fixed the problem, (after nearly 2 weeks where people were without water and being gouged by profiteering.), Major storms hit in cities just north of us. People died by drowning in their basements and i their cars on the freeway due to flooding. The area government actually stated that part of their flood plan was to allow the water to fill people's houses to help contain the water. Seriously...who thinks like that? People take cover in their basements during storms.

This book walks through different, real life scenarios to give you the knowldege you need to help you through life and to keep on living it.

This book covers a wide range of scenarios. From active shooters, home invasions and natural disasters to dirty bombs and terrorists. Being as small as it is it can't truly cover all those points in great depth. I would say it's biggest asset is that it can get a person to thinking. Thinking about what could happen and just how prepared or not they are to deal with sudden, massive wide spread or simply a personal emergency.
Much of what the author suggests you do are things you've heard before. But did you do them or is "hope for the best" your strategy? If it is, good luck because in some shape or form TSHTF for us all eventually. Just the power going out in the winter (unless you're in FL or such) for an extended period of time can be a huge disaster if you're not ready for it. And God help you if you've never given thought on what to do about a home invasion and one actually takes place. The book costs more than I thought it should but if it helps you get into boy scout mode you'll be glad you bought it.
