    This is a fantastic show! I absolutely loved it growing up. Discovered there were episodes I never watched as a kid, and I'm excited to check them out now as an adult. The content, the method of storytelling, the vibrant and varied settings... this series is perfect for getting your kids interested in the wonders of science.The box set comes with an activity booklet & episode guide fthat summarizes each episode's exploration.Despite the "new" condition listed, some disc's show scratches and evidence of past use. The box has some minor wear along the top edge but remains usable. Will provide an update after verifying the discs are all in good working order.

    I cannot say enough good things about this series. My kids adore them, and my son invents Magic School Bus dramas all the time with his legos. (Lego, are you listening? We want a Ms. Frizzle set!) This DVD set is an awesome deal in terms of bang for the buck. In fact, we broke a DVD and I was even contemplating repurchasing because we are sad to miss some! The science is very well done (spoken from a PhD researcher) -- I have hardly found any flaws in any of the shows or books. At the end of each episode, they even have a "viewer critique" section where kids point out which parts were pretend and not accurate. And, Ms. Frizzle's basic attitude ("Take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy!") is great scientist training. (Not "Memorize facts!") My 5-yr old kid can explain the basics of photosynthesis and a bunch of other concepts. Also, there are NO ADS when you start up the DVD! You can go straight to the menu, or just let it play. Final bonus -- these are helping my kids learn Spanish! We do the episode first in English, then in the next few days in Spanish. Since it is focused on science and is very conversational, the Spanish dialogue works great. Other kid shows wouldn't translate so well, esp. if they focus on reading. And if you are worried that the DVD will spoil your kid's enjoyment of the even-more-wonderful books, I can say that the show has only increased my kids' obsession with them. Final plug -- the episodes are long enough to let you get a few things done while they're watching :)

    We love this series...my whole family! I have 3 children: a son & daughter (twins), who are just turned 24, and a daughter, who is 16, and all 3 of them still love The Magic School Bus! And ok, I admit it, so do I! These shows are so wonderful...full of fun, and humor, and knowledge. Children learn without even realizing that they are! I had 4 of the Magic School Bus dvds, which I had purchased many years ago. My own children watched them over and over, but the learning didn't stop there. We have loaned them out multiple times to other families for their children to view. Also, I worked in our local school system for 13 years, and used them at every single school I was ever posted in: elementary, middle, and high school! All kids, all ages, love these shows. Finding the complete series, all on a set of dvds, was like a dream! Very ,very happy to have them! I do not have grandchildren yet, but am hopeful that one day I will, and I know without a doubt, that I will be using these videos with them, too. We highly recommend them to any and all! This is a great set to add to your personal dvd library, and the price was right, too.

    I am very happy that I decided to buy the complete Magic School Bus series. I am disappointed though that for no apparent reason it does skip on some episodes. The DVDs are not scratch in any way and there is nothing wrong with our DVD player. A couple of friends tested the DVDs in their player and the same episodes skipped on theirs too. I suspect it is an error made when puting the series onto the DVDs during manufacturing. Despite this slight irritant most all play very well and it was a good price. I'll just replace those disks later.

    Both my children love the original series and I am delighted to see they are enjoying this series as much as I did as a child. I do have to explain that new things have been discovered since this series was first put out. Like the whole Pluto thing. But over all the information is mostly still accurate on most subjects. A good home school tool too (just make sure not to use the episodes with inaccurate information as educational. Leave those just for fun.)

    Over all I am very pleased with this purchase and will recommend it to others!!

    I absolutely loved the series as a child and I've watched a few episodes on Netflix. It was such a blast from the past that I wanted to order the series as a childhood memory, even if I'm way past the age group for the show. It's a fun way to learn, and what I like is that at the end of each episodes, when people call in to ask questions, the fictional characters explain to the callers what is not true but that was changed for convenience during the episode (e.g.: in the space episode, they've explained at the end of it that they've put the planets in a straight line on the map, to make it easier to follow where the people were on their trip, even if in reality the planets aren't perfectly aligned. I love how they explain what is not true, so it doesn't misinforme the viewers). I'm so happy with it! I recommend it to everyone!
