This was the first time this friend recommended something to read and they were spot on - I will be asking for more recommendations.
This is an excellent set of stories, not a lemon among them. After reading this copy I bought some more copies and the quality is there throughout. I found there was a very good blend of "something different" and "new twist on a popular theme". But most of all the writing is excellent, the authors all have a voice that brings freshness to their writing and makes what they write even more interesting.
And the price? A steal.
It is my personal opinion that any writer good enough to be published in this magazine is good enough to have a successful career ahead of them. I forgot to check who edits this magazine before writing this review - sorry about that, editor(s) - but somebody is doing an excellent job sorting through the stories and picking out the gems.
My new personal goal - write a short story good enough to be published by Beneath Ceaseless Skies.
