Susan Mallery is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of books about the relationships that define women's lives—romance, friendship, family. With compassion and humor, Susan keenly observes how people think and feel, in stories that take readers on an emotional journey. Sometimes heartbreaking, often funny, and always uplifting, Susan's books have spent more than 200 weeks on the USA Today bestsellers list, thanks to her ever growing legions of fans.

Critics, too, have heaped praise on "the new queen of romantic fiction." (Walmart) Booklist says, "Romance novels don't get much better than Mallery's expert blend of emotional nuance, humor, and superb storytelling," and RT Book Reviews puts her "in a class by herself!"

Although Susan majored in Accounting, she never worked as an accountant because she was published straight out of college with two books the same month. Sixteen prolific years and seventy-four books later, she hit the New York Times bestsellers list for the first time with Accidentally Yours in 2008. She made many appearances in the Top 10 before (finally) hitting #1 in 2015 with Thrill Me, the twentieth book in her popular series, the Fool's Gold romances, and the fourth of five books released that year.

Susan lives in Seattle with her husband, a ragdoll cat, and a small poodle with delusions of grandeur. Her heart for animals has led Susan to become an active supporter of the Seattle Humane Society. Animals play a big role in her books, as well, as she believes they're an integral component to a happy life. Visit Susan online at www.SusanMallery.com.

An excellent and suspenseful story that grabbed my attention from the first page to the last page. This was a bit different from other books by this author, but I thoroughly enjoyed the fear and attraction between Jeff and Andie and their goal to get Bobby safely away from his monstrous father Kray. The surroundings in St. Lucas were exotic but Kray had the island in his grips making it difficult to escape safely with the boy. Must read to find out if they are able to escape the island and what will happen between Jeff and Andie. Very interesting book.

The storyline was good, and I liked Jeff & Andie. The sex scenes were also good (though fairly tame). My biggest gripe was that there were no breaks. One scene ran into the next (unless it was a new chapter). Also, they were on St. Lucas - but one time the author referred to it as St. Lucia. While the errors weren’t enough to stop me from enjoying the book, it would have greatly benefited from better editing. I read the kindle edition.

Both suffered at the hands of Kray. This brought them together. Jeff with the help of Andie was getting over the loss of his fist wife and son who were killed by a car bomb. He saved Bobby and Andie from Kray and then got married and had 2 more children and Andie finished her law school degree.

This book was very different from the other books by Susan Mallery that I’ve read, but still enjoyable. This story had more suspense and drama. I agree with another reviewer about how the scenes ran from one to another, frequently without breaks, and the discrepancy between St. Lucas and St. Lucia.

This just wasn't a Susan Mallery novel. It was okay reading; the characters were fine and the story kind of boring.

I usually enjoy Susan Mallery books, they are good for a light read and relax. Not this one, I just can’t read it despite many tries. It has failed to captivate me, it just doesn’t seem to work. I am glad it wasn’t the first of her books I tried because if it was it would also be the last. Dont judge her other works by this one. So disappointed I wrote a review!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spannend... bis zur letzten Seite
Reviewed in Germany on January 15, 2012
Absolut klasse!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mal was anderes...
Reviewed in Germany on November 9, 2014
