I'm a new addict to Kindle for PC; I made a video about it in 'brainouty' on Youtube, to show how great Kindle for PC is, especially in light of TALMUD; for my subscribers, I'd made videos showing where good Talmud stuff on the web, can be found. Count this wonderful Kindle, too. For only 99 cents a book (and there are over 30 of them), you can get the English of Soncino Talmud in Kindle. Yes! Do you know how great that is? You can now search for words, highlight them, etc.
Soncino's own software isn't as useful, and costs $300-$500 to get the full package. Granted, the latter offers Hebrew too, but it's hard to search on the right vowel points. If you cave in and do consonantal search, you get too many references, given the similarity of roots. So an English search is best, at which point you can then search on the Hebrew.
To find out which Soncino books are on Kindle, search in 'Kindle Store' on 'Soncino Talmud', so you'll get a list of all the books available. Then you have to buy them, one at a time.
