Things get personal for Margie in AN INVITATION TO MURDER when her dad is charged with killing an old business partner and all the evidence points to him and him alone. Obviously it’s a setup, but who would do that and why?
Margie’s hell bent on getting involved and finding the real killer; Joe’s just as determined to stop her. Not because he doesn’t want to find the killer, but he doesn’t want Margie to end up a victim herself. As if that's not enough to deal with, who is this Christian guy that's so obsessed with Margie and determined to get her to attend their 20 year class reunion?
Join the Kona crowd as they wing it to L.A. where they find plenty of confusion and trouble and clues and new mysteries.

This was such an enjoyable book to read. Joe (Margie's husband) tell this story as if talking to the reader. Margie gets a late night call telling her she needs to get to LA right away as her Dad has been arrested for murder. Amanda calls her best friend and neighbor Amanda to pack her bags grab her husband Pete and join Margie and Joe, as they try to find out the identity of the murderer.
This book is funny, silly and a good way to spend a few hours.
I have not read the 1st book in this series, but I will now.

I thought this story was hilarious. I love when an author can make you laugh out loud. The characters were crazy and they did some insane stuff. This was my kind of book. I hope you all get to read it. Great stuff. Thanks

the husband is the star of the series in my mind. he is an interesting person who shines in protecting his wife and helping to solve the mystery. also really LOVE the scenic descriptions of Hawaii!

I enjoyed the book. I enjoyed reading about Margie who was very stubborn and always getting herself in a jam. Also, I enjoyed the other characters too. The way that the author wrote the script had humor in it. I thought that aspect of the story made it enjoyable to read. The story was well written.

I loved the back and forth between Margie and her husband as well as their neighbors. Had to laugh out loud at the by-play between Margie and her Mother and Sister, also.

I never know quite what to say when I simply don't engage with a book and don't finish it. There is nothing intrinsically wrong; well-written, no glaringly obvious errors of grammar or punctuation, carefully plotted, characters well-developed.... But if I can't find myself interested within the first chapter or two, there is no point in continuing. I'll blame this one on being written from the viewpoint of the male protagonist. Other readers might find this a great book, so download a sample and see for yourself.

Cannot wait to read the third book. Type faster Gerry!! Please keep Margie on our island. There is plenty mystery here. To put it simply, his humor makes me feel happy.

It was a very enjoyable read with great characters. Enjoyed the other 2 books in the series as well, the setting being the Big Island made it even better.
