Forgiving Lies: A Novel Kindle Edition
The fabulous New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author returns with a sizzling, funny, and deeply emotional tale of passion and secrets, deception and forgiveness
A matter of secrets . . .
Undercover cop Logan "Kash" Ryan can't afford a distraction like his new neighbor Rachel Masters, even if she's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. To catch a serial killer, he needs to stay focused, yet all he can think about is the feisty, long-legged coed whose guarded nature intrigues him.
A matter of lies . . .
Deceived and hurt before, Rachel would rather be a single, crazy cat lady than trust another guy, especially a gorgeous, tattooed bad boy with a Harley, like Kash. But when his liquid-steel eyes meet hers, it takes all of Rachel's willpower to stop herself from exploring his hot body with her own.
A matter of love . . .
As much as they try to keep it platonic, the friction between them sparks an irresistible heat that soon consumes them. Can Kash keep Rachel's heart and her life safe even as he risks his own? Will she be able to forgive his lies . . . or will she run when she discovers the dangerous truth?

This first book in a series by McAdams in the new-adult romance subgenre offers a well-developed relationship and genuine romance with plenty of humor as well as scenes of sexual assault and violence. Quickly read and potent, it will leave readers craving the sequel.

About the author

Molly grew up in California but now lives with her husband and daughter in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach . . . which roughly translates to being a homebody and dishing out movie quotes with her hubby. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and loves curling up in a fluffy blanket during a thunderstorm . . . or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

Forgiving Lies, is the very first book that I've read by Molly McAdams, and boy did she blow me away! Forgiving Lies was one amazing story that completely captivated me. The story was fast-paced and filled with suspense, danger, a whirlwind romance, and fireworks! I can't wait to continue right where I left off, and begin, Deceiving Lies, which is a to be continued story.
This story was full of intrigue and I did not want to put it down! Kash and Mason are undercover cops who have been working to bring down a drug ring. When they are discovered, and their lives get threatened, they are sent to live in Texas with new identities. Their new undercover assignment is looking for a masochistic serial killer, known as the "Carnation Killer." Kash's whole life has revolved around his career. He doesn't do relationships, because his job is so dangerous. However, when he meets his new neighbor Rachel, he can't help but fall for her quickly.
Rachel has had a tragic life. Her parents died when she was very young, and her best friend, Candace's parents took her in, and treated her as their own. Rachel and Candace are inseparable. Rachel even left California to attend the same college in Texas to be with Candice. However, after a bad relationship, and then being attacked, and stalked by Candace's cousin, Blake, Rachel has sworn off relationships and men in general. When Rachel meets Kash, she fights her attraction to him, and erects walls to keep him out. However, little by little, Kash finds a way to destroy her walls and they form a deep friendship that eventually evolves into love. Yet, Rachel doesn't know that Kash is an undercover cop, or even his real full name, and as danger lurks around every corner, and the stalking escalates, Kash is determined to protect her. Danger is everywhere, and the ultimate climax will keep you glued to the pages, as Rachel and Kash's story unfolds.
Forgiving Lies had an excellent plot. I felt like I was in an episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent. Yet, added to it was a sexy love affair, that made me smile, laugh, and swoon! Kash, Rachel, and Mason, were great characters! I could feel Rachel's pain, fear, and I connected with her. I loved Kash. He was sexy, intelligent, protective, loyal, and very compassionate to Rachel's needs. He built a friendship with Rachel first, and took things slow, because he knew that is what she needed. Mason, Kash's best friend, and undercover partner, was such a likable character. He was like a big teddy bear with biceps. He was such a sweet and loyal guy. I thought that he was a great friend to Kash and Rachel. Candace, Rachel's best friend, frustrated me. She was a shallow and self-centered character. She loved Rachel, in her own way, but it was unforgivable to me that she didn't support or believe Rachel when she confided in her about being victimized, and even accused her of lying, and making up stories! I would have not been able to forgive her the way Rachel did.
I highly recommend, Forgiving Lies, by Molly McAdams. It had a beautiful love story, romance, sexy love scenes, humor, danger, suspense, and an unpredictable plot full of twists and turns. I give Forgiving Lies, by Molly McAdams, 5 Riveting, Thrilling, Exciting, and Dangerous stars! I am looking forward to continuing this story and plan on reading every book Ms. McAdams has ever written!
My Favorite Quotes:
"No one has ever made me feel like my heart is flying away but still holding me to this earth. No one has ever made me feel so at peace and crazy with one look. No one has ever made me feel so in love and terrified at the same time. No one until you." (Kindle Loc. 2661)
~Rachel
"Can people die from a broken heart? I don't think so. But I do know that when you keep yourself, or are kept, from the person who holds your heart, your body cripples under the knowledge that it isn't whole and won't be until you're with them again." (Kindle Loc. 4770)
~Rachel
"The minute I realized I was in love with you, my purpose in life changed to taking care of you..to keeping you safe...and to loving you." (Kindle Loc. 4845)
~Kash
"There's no such thing as meaningless when you find a girl like Rachel."
Kash is an undercover cop who has just been relocated to Austin, TX with his partner/best friend after another case put them in danger. So they have just moved in to their new apartment and lucky for them their neighbors happen to be 2 gorgeous women. Although Kash knows he needs to stay focused on the case and not get too close to someone he can't be completely honest with, he just can't stay away from Rachel. She is everything he never knew he wanted. Not only is she sexy and beyond beautiful, her attitude and sassiness make her a complete package. And it don't help that she makes amazing pancakes!
"I needed her to stay away from me, but damn if I wasn't grinning like an idiot knowing that Rachel was falling for me just as hard as I was falling for her."
Moving to attend UT with her best friend seemed like just what Rachel needed. She has been hurt and deceived in the past, and has decided that just being alone is for the best. But the bad boy next door is everything she knows she needs to stay away from, but slowing the sexy, tattooed man is breaking down her walls. They are constantly bickering with each other and have become the best of friends (their banter is hilarious). He is there for her and protects her, and that makes her feel safe for the first time in a long time. But just being friends is harder than she imagined, because her body does not agree with what her head knows is best.
"When I saw him sucking on that lip ring, my belly started heating and my mouth went dry. Every. Time. It never failed."
Soon neither of them can deny that they have fallen for each other. . .hard! The chemistry between them is consuming and so so HOT! But just as things between them start to fall in place, everything begins to shatter around them. Rachel is in danger and Kash will risk everything to keep her safe, but will that be enough? Will she be able to forgive him when she finds out who he really is?
"People say that being in love is amazing. They lie. It's freaking terrifying."
I fell in love with Kash and Rachel! It will capture you from the very beginning and leave you with a serious book hangover! Kash is definitely my new book boyfriend (and I'm not sharing ha!) can't wait for book 2, especially after that epilogue! Go check out another amazing story by Molly McAdams today!
This books main characters are Logan "Kash" Ryan (undercover last name Hendricks) and Rachel Masters. There is a love triangle in this book but just not like the ones in Taking Chances or From Ashes. It is very different and not a traditional one. Going into reading this book, I was a little trepidatious because there were many times while reading that I was waiting for McAdams to pull the rug out from under me and break my heart. It hasn't really happened yet, but I'm cautious and worried about the next book and what happens.
This book and the characters were great, except in most of the book I really wanted to punch Candice in the face. The girl is a sucky friend in my book. I understand why she would not want to trust Rachel immediately but come on just look at what happened before and what happened now...HELLO there is a pattern. Your best friend tells you something, you believe her! If someone has to die, then I'm ok if that person turns out to be Candice. I would not shed a tear!
I love what Rachel states are "forgiving lies"! They are the little white lies you tell people. They are the lies that can be forgiven. This book is definitely worth a read. Anyways, this is a book you want to read.

Forgiving Lies defiantly lived up to my expectations it had it all the;
A beautiful heroine with issues
A Hot sexy tattooed hero with secret
A wonderful cast that will keep you on your toes
And a very well developed and taught out plot.
A lot of book has this very same formula but not all are written by Molly McAdams. She has a flare and a real essence that just flows from her writing. I think she could write about can of beans or paint drying and I would still be captivated.
Forgiving Lies is a book that is certainly done right the sexual chemistry, the love blossoming everything comes together perfectly creating those precious eye popping moments that just steals your breath with anticipation or a face splitting smile.
What I liked the most is the action and suspense mixed in it added another dimension to the story giving it more bite and substance.
I loved most of the characters Mason is absolutely dreamy a funny lovable teddy-bear. Kash and Rachel wove their way into my heart with real attitude and affections.
I think they are perfect. They both have an attitude going one neither willing to take each others crap. They both give as good as they get.
"If you honestly think what I've said means you look bad, then that's your own problem you'll have to deal with. And as long as you're giving some attitude, be prepared to get some in return."~Kash
The attraction is clear for all to see between these two despite their chemistry, they both insisted on strictly friendship for very good reason but when love is true and both parties are drawn to each other its only a matter of time before matters of the heart take over.
"I needed her to stay away from me, but damn if I wasn't grinning like an idiot knowing that Rachel was falling for me just as hard as I was falling for her."
Kash bestows Rachel with a very fitting nickname which I love love love, I'm a little sick of the princess, kitten, angel......Sour Patch suits her personality perfectly
"Good to know your favorite things about me, Sour Patch. And if you're wondering....everything about you is my favorite."
They go through a lot together even as just friends he is their for her no matter what he protects he to the best of his ability and he loves her fiercely and she cannot see anything or anyone but Kash she has finally found her once in a lifetime love.
"I let my guard slip and somewhere along the way I'd let Kash in. It terrified and thrilled me, but I couldn't keep pretending any more. I couldn't act like my world didn't practically revolved around him."~Rach
Another good read from Ms McAdams the book does end with a mighty cliffhanger that will have you screaming Noooooooooooooooo. I cannot wait for Deceiving Lies I know it's going to be one hell of a journey
I Love Molly I Love this book
Natasha Scandalous Book Blog

Rachel was a awesome character, feisty and funny, she is quick whited and the banter between her and Kash is great, the whole furniture shopping had me laughing out loud, and the nick name Kash gives Rachel is so very fitting, sour patch, loved it!
“You’re like Sour Patch Kids candy.”
“What the hell?”
“Sour… then sweet.”
Seriously Miss Molly did good, Kash ticks all of the boxes for us girls to be swooning, fantasizing, and heating up the lady parts if you know what i mean!
Hes a tattooed cop/Bad boy with a lip piercing, with abs to die for, who can play the guitar and sing for christ sake, what more can a girl ask for? oh wait he has a smart mouth and he know how to use it (Wink wink)
The secondary characters in this book really add to the story, i loved Mason he was the great big brother figure and a true friend to Kash they were like brother and you could really feel the connection between them. I would love to read a spin off book for Mason.
On the other hand Candice really got my back up at times, i mean what kind of a friend just dismisses something like that family or not. Candice and her family is really all Rachel has left they took her in when her parents died, so she is like a sister to Candice so when she so easily dismissed the incident i Just wanted to shake her.
Forgiving Lies is a hot sexy hold onto the edge of your seat thriller that has you turning the pages so fast your head will spin. It is intriguing and fast paced Molly McAdam’s writing style is awesome!
This book will take you on the ride of you life with some fantastic twist and turns, the emotions ooze off the page, and the slightly cliffy ending will have you begging for Deceiving Lies.
One click the link below you will not be disappointed !!!!

Overall this book is very capitvating but I would recommend that if your not a fan of cliffhangers that you wait until the next book is out before buying this one!
