I don't agree with everything this author says -- she is a bit more formal than me and I am autistic, so lack some of the social graces she insists upon as "proper." Still fun, light reading with encouragement to act like a good and nice person and get along with others without being a pushover. I love the princess analogy. Recommended to females in proper behavior and making good choices. Those who care about their reputation. If you don't care about that, this book will seem unnecessary, but could still be fun if you are into the whole idea of feeling regal.

a wonderful book for guidance in becoming a fine young lady, a princess. Covers a wide spectrum of behaviors, activities and practices. A good read for a charming young lady who would like to review how to be a true princess.

This was a fun read! I liked the movie suggestions and playlists. The quotes were great too as well as some of the suggestions. Some of the suggestions were definitely for younger women as I'm a 41 year old widow. Still a fun read!

From one principal citizen to another, The Princess Guide to Life, bequeaths one woman's insights to younger adult women. Rosie Blythe gives advice on dress and grooming, upkeep of the home environment, and healthy eating habits. She discusses how to develop style and individuality while attending to social graces.

In a light and warm-hearted tone, Rosie addresses how to deal with 6 villain-type personalities, how to build a "capsule wardrobe" befitting of royalty, and how to choose a signature fragrance. Rosie explains the process of getting one's first job, balancing both career and home life, being self-employed and more. Savvy shopping tips such as using Internet vouchers and buying in bulk are included. Moreover, Rosie shares 12 soundtracks of her "feel-good music" as well as a list of selected movies and books.

Finally readers of The Princess Guide to Life are served a rich dessert of 101 Ways to Feel Like a Princess. Samples include going for a picnic at midnight, scrapping a gigantic mug, or simply going offline for a day.

The Princess Guide will make a great gift for your daughters, granddaughters, nieces, and cousins.
My favorite quote: "The ultimate goal of a princess is to look and feel great naturally." -- Rose Blythe

I received a review copy of this book and have to say I really enjoyed it. It's beautifully put together, easy to read, and funny. The focus on feeling happy with yourself, having fun, and making the most of what you have, might sound like info you've heard a hundred times, but the author's insights into the pressures of our current beauty-obsessed culture, coupled with her fashion stylist know-how and practical tips really make this book a gem (if you'll excuse the pun). I consider myself well groomed, but I've learned a lot about wardrobe, presentation and how to truly let go of caring about other people's opinions. As I said, I got this review copy for free, but I would have paid money for it. I'll be referring back to it again and again. This book is a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Princessy Read
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 17, 2015
Loved this book. It raised some interesting points about feminism and touched on serious topics, while also being very entertaining and providing lots of giggles. Bought it having read a freebie by the same author (‘A Cat’s Guide to Life’) which had me in hysterics, so I thought this one would be worth the risk. Particularly enjoyed reading the chapter on ‘The Social Princess’, which described an array of social circumstances and the author’s advice for dealing with them as gracefully as possible. There’s also chapters on careers and finances as well as light-hearted stuff like clothes, personal grooming, and using discretion on facebook! Overall, very pleased with the purchase.
