Over the past few years, I've been examining and pulling apart the underpinnings of what makes people's lives suck, and this book lays out exactly how and why most people are stuck in the same place... don't know where they're going... and never seem to get where they're going even if they try.

The fact is, most of this really isn't their fault, because it's been done to them over the years... mostly by well-meaning people who were honestly trying to help. While we all face this same problem, it's a problem that can be overcome, and the first step is understanding what problems you really face.

There are, of course, a few big jerks out there who are using these same tactics and techniques to actively manipulate you for their own ends... and armed with the knowledge of what they're using, you'll be better able to identify them and avoid their nefarious motives.

Ever since I discovered Caliban Darklock--yep, that's his real name--I've done my best to get my hands on everything he's written.
He's just that good.
"The BULL S*** LIFE: Why Everything Sucks" is only the latest of his books that I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on.
(By the way, the words "BULL," "S***," and "LIFE" are acronyms in a philosophical system developed by author Darklock.)
With the same mix of wit, deep thinking, surprising candor, clever acronyms, and life-changing honesty found in his other works, Darklock manages to explain why life often feels so difficult, people can be such jerks, and change feels so out of reach.
Being able to look honestly at the way things are is the first step toward being able to change them.
In this little volume, Darklock helps you to look squarely at your life and honestly accept why it is the way it is.
By the time you reach the end, you'll want to know what to do about it, and you'll want Darklock to be the one to tell you what you need to do.
One complaint about this book of Darklock's -- and it's actually true of all his works -- personally I can't put them down once I start reading.
So be sure to set aside some time when "The BULL S*** LIFE" is in your hands.
Don't say I didn't warn you.

Most marketers just say the same damn things over and over until you want to pull your hair out of your head or throw up. Not Caliban. He tells it like it is and doesn't bother sugar coating anything, so prepare to have your "comfort zone" shattered with no apology. This is only for people who are done making excuses, living in fear and are truly ready to get real about s*h*i*t! A life changing read that I couldn't recommend more highly.

Caliban has a deep understanding of human psychology and the human condition. This book explains the root of everything wrong with your current situation. By first realizing the problem, the reader is then able to see the solution. Super potent life information but also written in a friendly and funny manner. I purchased this book elsewhere as well as the equally powerful sequel but I encourage everyone to add this book on their Kindle as they will want to return to it again and again.

Awesome stuff. Tonight I'm re-reading his SLOT Machines book. Caliban gives a really great insight into life, it's pretty empowering, motivating and a great kick in that backside. Always thought provoking, and in many ways a shame they're digital because his books are always worth re-reading and deserve a place on the bookshelf (and permanent place on your Kindle). Well recommended in the 'Age of the Guru'.
