A Relíquia (Clássicos da Literatura) (Portuguese Edition) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 783 ratings

Wonderful literature bringing together the XIX century in Portugal and the Middle East, with the Roman Empire, the passion of the Christ, and the defence of truthfulness against hypocrisy.

Nice book, no complaints

Excellent!

This is an excellent book, really wonderful. Funny, well written, with a good plot and a wonderful scoundrel-- Theodorico Raposo-- for the main character. By far my favorite work of Eça-- Os Maias is great also.

You will not be dissapointed with this jewel of portuguese literature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Final surpreendente!
Reviewed in Brazil on October 10, 2021

5.0 out of 5 stars HIS FUNNIEST, MOST IRREVERENT WORK.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 14, 2014
Still relevant today. A great classic and wickedly funny. i was smitten when I first read it at age 11, and on rereading it now found that it's lost none of its appeal. A searing, unforgiving pen tearing through the hypocrisy of religious fervour. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ótima versão mas possui final com trechos duplicados
Reviewed in Brazil on October 13, 2018
