Before you embark on what I hopewill be an enjoyable journey, I wanted to address an issue that has presenteditself in the early reviews of this book.

I am a Christian. I believe in theplan of salvation and the infallibility of the Word of God. In writing thiswork, I have attempted to remain true to the character and love of our Lord.

Having said that, I must tell youthis book is written for pure enjoyment and fun. The concept of Chasers andRunners is purely a fiction of my mind, and a vehicle for the story.

It is not my desire to put forthany suggestion of this being a reality of the Spirit world.
It is fantasy and fun.

John Dalglish was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to the U.S as a boy in 1975.

He is now an American citizen and the author of five different series' and one standalone novel. He refers to his writing as 'Clean Suspense' because he includes no sex or obscenities in his books.

He and his wife Beverly, who does his book covers, have three sons and twelve grandchildren.

They hope you enjoy reading their books as much as they do producing them.

This group of books are my absolute favorite of all the Christian fiction I have read in the last year. The main character Jack is called by God to be a chaser. As a chaser, he must "assist" runners to crossover to meet their Maker. Runners are people who have died but for one reason or another, ran from their destiny after death and returned to Earth. These Christian fantasy books are dramatic, suspenseful, energetic. My imagination was wonderfully stretched to the max by the plot of these books! I could easily read 6 more books on Chaser Jack's adventures.

I read all 6 Chaser books in a few days. This story is an exciting journey & quite difficult to put down. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning since this is more of fantasy but it reminded me that we engage in spiritual warfare everyday, often unaware. It didn't take long to get caught up in the romance & suspense. I found these books an enjoyable change to my normal genre of books & look forward to reading more by Mr. Dalglish!

while I initially had some spiritual questioning with the idea of spirits running from their destiny, I decided to suspend my disbelief and just enjoy the story. Dalglish has a great sense of humor and I found myself laughing out loud several times. I especially appreciated his Christian overview and the Spirit's help. I came to view the chronicles as a parable of sorts of our own walk with the Lord and how it is impossible without the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

These are more like long short-stories than books. At 592 pages for the whole set, that's less than 100 pages per book. When you read all the books in a row, there are quite a few phrases and descriptions that are repeated. Even though I thought the books were well-written overall, the whole idea of "Chasers" and people fleeing death was strange.
