Sweet Matchmaker Kindle Edition
Bridal shop owner Ginger McGinty excels at matchmaking unless it’s for herself. That is, until she meets the dreamy Aussie who helps her get into an event meant for engaged couples.
Logan Stone is sweet, caring, thoughtful and fun—everything she desires in a man. But it turns out, her new fake fiancé could use a bit more than just a pretend engagement to get him into parties—he needs a quick marriage to keep him in the country so he can be with his adopted special needs daughter.
With a marriage of convenience pro-con list longer than the average wedding veil, Ginger puts her faith in romance and offers Logan her hand in return for one thing—no secrets.
But little does she know, almost everything she knows about her new husband is based on layers of secrets.
Everything except his kisses and the way he accidentally spills his soul whenever they meet. And that’s quickly becoming a problem for Logan Stone who depends on distance and deceit to keep civilians such as Ginger safe from his enemy’s clutches.
Will the two find love in their marriage of convenience, or will everything break apart when the truth rises to the surface, shattering everything, including their trust?

Ginger is the owner of a bridal shop back in Blueberry Springs. She’s in Indigo Bay to help her business, connect with engaged couples and make certain that her business stays afloat. Trouble is, she needs a fiance in order to get into the engaged couples events and she’s coming up against a dead end with this gentleman keeping that red rope entryway firmly engaged. Luckily while spinning her tale of a “just stepped away” fiance the gentleman she’d bumped into earlier, the one with the amazing Australian accent also needs into that event for very different reasons… and Logan firmly claimed her right then and there with a story the guard dog employee bought hook, line and sinker. Funny how fate just seemed to step in at the right moment – but it’s up to Logan and Ginger to make this work.
Everything you need to know to pick up this book is in the story blurb – and I really do hope you’ll grab Sweet Matchmaker for it’s a charming romance with a couple that has some very real issues to deal with. Logan is desperate to stay in the states to wrap up the case he’s been working on, he’s so close he can taste the arrest. His little farce with Ginger was only supposed to help him out for a few days, he would make sure she was safe and unhurt physically. But he knew he couldn’t help the emotional hurt he was going to cause, and for the first time he hesitated at what he had to do, because hurting Ginger didn’t set right with him. I fell in love with Logan, and I believe you will as well. Ginger’s grandmother is an amazing woman who delivers a loving but stern conversation exactly when Ginger needs to hear it. Annabelle, who Logan is guardian for, is a sweet teenager who will capture your heart easily. Yes, there are bad guys, but they don’t fill up this story as more than side characters – this one is all about falling in love when you least expect it and laying everything on the line to keep that love for a lifetime.
I would happily recommend Sweet Matchmaker and the entire Indigo Bay series to any Contemporary Romance reader who loves a good romance, enjoys those secondary characters who bring a book alive, and experiencing falling in love along with the main characters. This one is a keeper, just like Logan.
I own a Kindle edition of this book.
Would recommend to those looking for a sweet, clean romance.
This story starts off with a spy, Logan trying to infiltrate into Vito’s criminal world. Unsuspecting Ginger comes along and unknowingly fills the role of fake fiancée he was looking for. Soon they find themselves in a Honeymoon cottage and falling in love while Logan tries to keep Ginger safe. That being said be assured that this is a clean romance, no sex and no vulgarities.
The book was sweet and exciting without having a lot of drama and intense moments. The author kept it light but interesting.
If you're expecting "spy" to mean things like "intrigue" and " action" or even just "smart", adjust your expectations. This is no more than a book with a cute, sweet romance with side of spy story that makes absolutely no sense. Since it was free, I liked it anyway.
The couple are both mushy, adorable teddy bears of people. Despite "Logan's" belief that he's this hard-nosed secret agent, nothing in the book supports the idea. (I was sort of amazed he didn't get killed, but the bad guy, luckily, also was written as particularly dangerous.) And Ginger was pretty much his female counterpart, minus the spying gig and over the top Australian English. Seriously, they were almost the same person! And that person was cute.
The book is about as deep as half a stick of bubble gum. As long as you don't go into it hoping for a substance (or even a real plot), you're golden.
I strongly urge you to read Sweet Matchmaker. It is well-written with believable, likable characters, and a plot that kept me hooked from page 1. I highly recommend reading all the books by Jean Oram. She is an awesome author.

Loved it. Wasn't sure if it was going to be a clean or a steamy read because for a while there it kind of came close - but it is a clean read. Great story. I would read more by this author.
Logan and Ginger are a really sweet couple in this adventurous romance. The plot is a bit unrealistic, but the characters and settings are interesting and I really liked the book.
