Every author or owner of intellectual property should buy this book (painter, photographer, musician, programmer, etc.) It is relatively short, but contains a wealth of information around estate planning for authors and ways to educate your heir on what they have received and their options to manage it. I have a Will and I thought I had everything covered. Well, I was wrong. I never thought of writing a Final Letter (as detailed in this book) but I will do now.

Great tips and a great book.

This book is well written and covers all the info needed in clear, concise terms. It also includes samples of forms and the Letter to My Heir.

Lots of valuable information. Not as dry a read as you'd think, with lots of real world situations and examples. It gave me a lot to think about and execute before my untimely passing sometime in the far, far future. Now to figure out who I can trust to keep my IP and writing legacy going...

Excellent resource for writers and others in the creative arts. A clear, easy-to-understand, and extremely useful guide to understanding the value of your IP (intellectual property) and how to preserve that value for your heirs. Highly recommend!

Incredibly helpful for framing what authors need to do to pass their business on and hopefully have their books selling long after they're gone.

Superb, easy to understand. I now have a long to do list, to leave everything neat and tidy. Never think you are too small or too young a writer to look into what happens once you die.
