About the authors
David J. West writes dark fantasy and weird westerns because the voices in his head won’t quiet until someone else can hear them. He is a great fan of sword & sorcery, ghosts and lost ruins, so of course he lives in Utah.
Lee Allred's science fiction has appeared in the pages of ASIMOV'S SCIENCE FICTION MAGAZINE, PULPHOUSE MAGAZINE, and several dozen fiction anthologies. He's also scripted comic books for Marvel, DC, IDW, and Image, including such fan favorite titles as FANTASTIC FOUR, FF, BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE, BATMAN '66, BUG! THE ADVENTURES OF FORAGER, and DICK TRACY: DEAD OR ALIVE.
Dave (D.J.) Butler writes adventure stories for all readers. He has been a lawyer, a consultant, and a corporate trainer. His interests include languages, guitar, hanging out with his wife and kids, astronomy, and history.

Highly recommended to alternate history, a little context is good to have in case because there were some things that I had to look up, but that was my problem. Some stories were better than others, but I got to say the last story was the best, and scary for the implications this alternate what if of the State of Deseret. For Mormons and anyone else put in that scenario in general.
A lot better than I at first thought, and as an alternate history fan one of the best anthologies i read in a long time. Give it a try!
Most of the stories are a quick read, easy to pick up and put down while waiting etc.
I don't think folks unfamiliar with Mormon history and culture would get as much out of this book as those who are or were active members, but it's great for those who live Mormon culture but are willing to look at it with a critical eye and wonder how it would be different if the world was a bit different.
