Reminding Avery Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 942 ratings

Most of the guys in my town had me marked as off limits. My dating history was slim to none, until Dylan. He didn’t let labels deter him from sweeping me off my feet.

The day Avery Stanton took a chance on me is that day my life changed. Nothing else mattered but her. All I ever wanted was for her to be happy. I just wanted to love her, no matter how much distance was between us.

Dylan Knight wrecked me. He made me fall in love with him and then took it all away. Now I’m back, and I can’t deal. How do I pretend that he no longer owns my heart when all my heart does is scream his name?

Avery’s back and I know I have a fight on my hands. I remember every minute, every touch, every kiss, and every breath of our time together. Now I need to remind her.

Reminding Avery is a beautiful story of first loves that stand the test of time. While the book brings us the story of four friends who double date and fall in love in high school, the book focuses largely on Avery and Dylan who are best friends to Brad and Harley. There are lots of cynics that will point out that first loves almost never last and are too immature. Not the case here. Dylan knew he wanted Avery with every fiber of his being, so much so that her happiness and having her dreams fulfilled meant more to him than anything, even his own dreams.

Despite huge heartache, and a great amount of time, Dylan and Avery never fell out of love with each other, and it was nice to read about their journey through trying to reconnect and rekindle what they once had in order to try to make their ultimate dreams a reality.

I enjoyed all the additional family members who were mentioned in the book, and who were supportive of the romantic relationships and trials and tribulations that the main characters endured. The writing in this book was strong, and as mentioned earlier I really liked that the book spanned a great deal of time. I especially loved the mutliple epilogues. What more could you want than an awesome love story, with friendship, family, second chances, hopes and dreams. And, oh the romance. So, so much romance. Another 5 star read by Kaylee Ryan who is a definite go to author for me!

Reminding Avery is a beautifully written second chance romance, where we get to see Avery and Dylan fall in love, and fall apart, and then find their way back to one another again. I read this book in one sitting and definitely have a book hangover now!

When we first meet Avery and Dylan, they are high school seniors, and Avery is untouchable, due to who her brother is, but Dylan doesn't care and once he gets to know her, there is no stopping him from going after her. The attraction and feelings between these two are undeniable and throughout their senior year we get to see an amazing and beautiful love story form. I loved watching these two fall in love with one another, and I was like I want a Dylan in my life! The way Dylan loves Avery is beautiful and selfless. He would do anything for Avery and he proves it by breaking his own heart.

Four years later these two are back in the same town again, and Dylan is still in love with Avery and is now fighting with everything he has to get her back. Since this book is told in both of the characters points of view, we really got to see the pain Avery felt, but also the pain Dylan felt with the decisions he made. Seeing these two apart broke my heart, just like their hearts were breaking. I wanted Avery to see everything Dylan did for her, and I wanted Dylan to speak up and explain what he did and why he did it. Both of them had make some pretty stupid decisions when they were younger, but their love for one another hadn't changed. They both were immature at times, but one thing that never changed was their feelings for one another, it's just getting them on the same page at the same time, that took a lot of time.

The one thing I loved I loved in this book was the secondary characters. Alan, Brad, Harley, Avery's parent's, Dylan's dad, Brad's parents, and even Kara. They all played such a huge part in Avery and Dylan's story and helped form the relationship these two have. They helped them see things in different ways, and were there for them when they always needed it.

This story was beautifully written and engaging. I loved the characters and how the story flowed. I wanted to love and hate Avery and Dylan at times, but I understand why their journey had to be the way it was. Their story wouldn't have been as amazing, if it wasn't for the heartbreak we had to endure as readers to get the ending that the characters deserved, as well as the extended epilogues! I highly recommend one-clicking Reminding Avery by Kaylee Ryan today, it's a book you won't regret reading!

I absolutely loved this book. Just loved it. I'd get into more detail but all the reviews give the same synopsis so there is no need. So I'll just skip to my personal thoughts. Everyone needs someone to look out for them. Someone other than yourself. Dylan was that person for Avery. I enjoyed that there was no drama. It was really nice to read about the falling in love. True falling in love. I have enjoyed each book I've read by Kaylee Ryan (though Tempting Tatum is in my top 5 all time favorite reads). I know anything she writes will pick me up. She is my go-to for a bad day or a book I've read that leaves less than desirable feelings. She washes it all away. This is a feel good love story. I love the way this book made me feel. Dylan is so sweet. I had to remove my makeup because I had smear marks from smile crying (if that's even possible). I don't mind second chance love stories. It's the break up I hate. But the one in this book was tastefully done. I liked Avery, though she came across as a bit childish. I over looked it because of the circumstances. Dylan is definitely hubby material. I loved their relationship; both in high school and years later. This is definitely a must read. Especially if you're in the need of a pick me up. I'd highly recommend.

I absolutely love Kaylee Ryan's books and Reminding Avery has been added to the every growing list of some of my favorites by Kaylee.

I absolutely love Avery and Dylan's relationship. I felt my heart breaking for them and I felt it fill with so much joy. Dylan was nothing but a sweet romantic from the start. I mean, what teenage boy buts that much effort into dates?!

This book is emotional, its sweet and it will have you following in love with Avery, Dylan and their relationship.

I was hoping we would get some more insight into the 4 years Avery was away in college, but I can't complain too much. I'd love to read more about Brad and Harley, I absolutely loved their relationship as well from the little we got to read of it.

If you're a fan of second change romances, swoon worth men and just a truly beautiful story Reminding Avery is for you.

I absolutely loved Avery & Dylan's story. Kaylee Ryan's books always get me out of a book funk. They are comforting to me. My heart ached for both Dylan and Avery when Dylan made the decision to let Avery go (with a lot of resistance from Avery) away to School. I loved as he watched and continued to love her from a far. The romantic in me was so happy that no one ever measured up and that they eventually found their way back to each other. I loved how we got a sneak peak into their journey as a married couple in the epilogues. This is a book that I will reread over and over again.

I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this book and chose to review it.

4.5 stars.

I have to admit, I was a bit wary of the storyline for this book. I feel like it's been done before and we've read it a million times. I'm so happy to say that might be the case, but Dylan and Avery make it all worth it!
I absolutely loved them! They were awesome! I loved that we got so much of them in high school and then later on.
Liam and Ridge were my favourite Kaylee book boyfriends but they have serious competition from Dylan. He's amazing. So devoted, and loyal, and oh my god, just so sweet! I love him!
I also love the spunk from Harley in giving Avery a good verbal slap when she needed it. I loved that Avery wasn't allowed to wallow in her pity.
I felt that the only thing holding this book back from being a complete 5 stars was a bit of awkwardness in the early dialogue. It did have shades of Anywhere with You and at times made me cringe just a tad.
But overall, I loved this book and highly recommend it!

I very much enjoyed this book I couldn't put it down I was captured from the beginning. I'm not usually a fan of books that are told from years previous to the present but this was done in a way I found easy to read it didn't drag out unnecessarily and it was cute and fun to read. The main couple Avery and Dylan fall in love during the last year of high school except she's off to college and he isn't, she's the little sister of his school football coach, he doesn't want any distractions this year she just wants to be noticed and can't wait for college to shake the little sister rep and it all goes to hell in one night. My first read by this author and I liked it I would read another of hers.
