A few months ago I discovered Stephanie Rowe. The first thought I had was -- "How did I not know about this author"... She is wonderful.... I have lost so much sleep because of her... but I would give her a big hug if I ever met her in person. Her stories just steal your heart.... There is Emma and Harlan.. and Blue and Chloe.. Oh you mean they aren't real people and aren't personal friends... DARN... they are the best people.
What I want you to know is this set is a bargain... and you will never regret the purchase. Jump on it NOW.

I absolutely love reading Stephanie Rowe's books.
My favourite series (so far) is Order of the Blade. The stories are fun, and unique and totalling riveting. I lost sleep when I started reading this series. The characters are well developed and totally relatable. I loved the way the story flowed and of course the Happily Ever After ending for Grace.
If you are thinking about trying Stephanie Rowe's novels, this is the most amazing bundle to buy! But be warned, her writing is addictive and you will find yourself ordering the next book and the next! Of course you will love her for it.

Unexpectedly Mine (Birch Crossing #1)
I give this a 4.5. I took away .5 due to the amount of times I wanted to hit Griffin over the head like Ophelia did :)

I could totally relate to Clare Gray. She got pregnant at an early age and had to raise her daughter on her own. She put herself through law school to be able to support herself and her daughter and to hopefully be able to give her daughter the things she wanted for her - a good education and college. Clare pushed for her daughter Katie to take the best classes and to go to MIT for the summer. She had all the best intentions for her daughter and did it all out of love but she never stopped to ask Katie if that is what she really wanted. We as parents want our kids to not make the same mistakes we made, we try so hard to protect them and guide them and think we know what's best for them but sometimes that isn't always what our children want and try as hard as we might they still in some ways are destined to make our mistakes. Clare had to learn to let go of her ideas for her daughter. She also made other classic mistakes single mothers do, she tried to protect her daughter from the truth about her father. Once Clare came clean with Katie about her father she found out that it didn't devastate her and it made her love her mom even more for finally trusting her with the truth.

Now Griffin Friesé.. Griffin thought all through his marriage that the most important thing was money. So he lived his job and thought by having money to give to his wife and daughter that everything was ok. Never realizing that his never being for them due to all the hours he worked he was alienating his wife. He was truly shocked when he came home one day to find them gone. And had no idea why she left him. In his mind she was the person in the wrong. After two years of not being able to reconnect with his daughter and blaming his ex wife on her not wanting to see him he sets out to the small town of Birch Crossing to try and get her back. But he goes into it all wrong. He thinks is he buys his daughters favorite clothing line and makes her the offer of she can work beside him that she will come back to him. I had a really hard time understand Griffin's thinking. He totally thought material things were what was most important in life and what would get his daughter back. When he finds out she still wants nothing to do with him he still blames the ex. Even though from all appearances the ex has moved on and married and even had twins and looks very happy with her new husband.

Now to the romance. At the start of the book Clare is driving through a storm to get to her daughter is his trapped with friends up in the mountains out in the storm. She runs into Griffin after encountering a tree in the middle of the road she can't get around. He offers to help her by pulling a totally crazy stunt to get around the tree. After saving her daughter and friends Clare feel gratitude towards Griffin and also a stir of something she hasn't felt in 15 years. When she finds out that Griffin needs a place to stay and the town isn't helping as they think he is there to murder is ex wife and daughter she offers him a room at her farmhouse. When Griffin is with Clare he is a totally different person. He realizes this and does let himself be that person while he is with her. He also comes across many wise people in the town that give him good advice but when push comes to shove he always makes the wrong decisions.

I loved all the times between Clare and Griffin. They both had soo much baggage from their past and they each helped the other heal in many ways but some old habits were hard to break. The internal struggle Griffin has toward the end when something sad happens was heartbreaking to read but also a moment when you pumped your hands in the air and said ABOUT TIME GRIFFIN :)

This was a great story about the misconceptions we have about relationships and parenthood.

A Real Cowboy Never Says No
Once I started this I didn’t want to put it down. Stephanie Rowe kicks off a new series based in Rogue Valley, Wyoming and it’s about a group of brothers that lived through hell in their childhood years but from that pain forged a tight bond between them. That past also made them leery of women and they each vowed to never marry or let a women ever get close enough to hurt them.

Story starts out at a funeral. AJ had always had two best friends, one male and one female. Neither of them had met during the 10 years AJ was friends with them both. Their first meeting unfortunately was at AJ’s funeral where Chase Stockton realized that Mira Cabot – the person he’d been fantasizing about for 10 years – needed his help. Since he felt like he own a huge debt to AJ for past deeds he decides he is going to protect Mira by inviting her to come back to his ranch in Wyoming so he could both protect her from AJ’s evil dad and to help her with the situation she found herself in.

Chase and Mira came from such different childhoods. Mira had two loving parents that doted on her and had no problem taking in her young friend when they saw he had a controlling and abusive father. But all of that was ripped from her when an accident immediately took the life of her father and eventually her mother. During a moment of grief when her mother passed AJ and Mira consoled each other which left Mira with child. Now that AJ is gone Mira knows that AJ’s Dad if he ever found out would do everything within his power to take her child away from her. Chase childhood was filled with abuse. His father went on to sire many children with different women who all suffered the same abuse. A lot of that abuse was mostly a direct cause from the women their father was married to at the time. This caused each of the boys to not trust women and left them very cynical about life. But one thing they never strayed from was their love for one another.

Chase and Mira had some big demons to put to rest before anything could come of their attraction. They had the sexual part of their relationship down pat but Mira didn’t want to put her heart out there because everyone she’s ever cared about has either died and left her or just left her. Chase is torn between his feelings for Mira and his vow and commitment to his brothers who aren’t happy with a woman being on their ranch.

We get to meet quite of few of the brothers – especially the two that the next two books will be about – and I fell in love with each of them even though they have some pretty big chips on their shoulders. I’m ready to read their stories now!! Really liked this first book in what looks to be a great series.

Darkness Awakened
I am not an easy sell on paranormals and was leery to read this. But holy moly this was a great read.

Stephanie Rowe has created a wonderful new series. Two thousand years ago Ezekiel and his twin brother Caleb lived with an abusive father. The King of the land was no better killing men and women just for the fun of it. Ezekiel fell in love with a girl who the King kidnapped. When Ezekiel couldn’t get to her at the King's castle it sent him over the edge. Ezekiel knew of a stream that would create mythical warriors. Ezekiel and Caleb drank from the steam and then went and defeated the King. But Evangeline died in Ezekiel arms. This caused Ezekiel to go mad and kill everyone in the kingdom including women and children. From this Ezekiel created a band of warriors called The Order that was to rid the world of evil. But Ezekiel in his madness became paranoid- began seeing evil in everything. Caleb decided his brother needed to be stopped and set out with his wife who he hoped would keep him from going rogue and 20 men to drink from the stream to create an army to defeat Ezekiel. Caleb and his army did defeat Ezekiel but at the expense of Caleb's wife. Caleb managed to imprison Ezekiel in a magical prison but he went crazy over the loss of his wife and his men had to kill him. Thus the legacy was born. The Calydon warriors’ purpose was the keep the world safe from evil and when needed to kill a Calydon warrior and/or his sheva (mate) when the Calydon warrior went rogue/mad after finding her.

Dante has been the leader of the Order for 700 years but with his death Quinn Masters is next in line. After a disastrous mission that left all of his young Calydon warriors in training dead and it looking like his best friend Elijah did it, Quinn knows he must figure out what is going on. After waking up from almost dying he heads to his cabin where Grace Matthews is waiting and he knows right away she is his sheva.

Grace Matthews is an illusionist. One who can call upon images to make those around her believe what she is projecting. Her sister is also one and has been kidnapped and Grace has come to Quinn for his help in finding her.

They both realize there is a connection between them but Grace refuses to believe that love can make a person go mad to a point of no return. All she wants is to get her sister back.

As the story progresses we find out how and why Dante and Elijah died and that the walls that are keeping Ezekiel in are crumbling and he seems to be controlling people on the outside. One of the men he is controlling is the one that took Grace's sister Ana. They also come across Dante's son Drew who they know they need to protect at all cost.

This was a great start to a new series. I am already all wrapped up in this world and can’t wait until Gideon and Lily's story which is next. I am hoping that Ana's story is the 3rd book.

Dark Wolf Rising
Dark Wolf Rising kicks off a new paranormal series from Stephanie Rowe. Things are a bit of a mess for the pack in the start of this series. The leader of the pack Jace Donovan is on trial for murder for viciously killing a woman and all of this was witnessed by Brynn McKenzie who is set to testify against him. This in turn has the current leader of the pack to put out a hit on Brynn so she cant testify. But things are not as they seem.

Cash Burns was Jace's second in command before he was arrested. In a twist he was also Brynn's childhood friend that walked away from her 10 years ago when he realized he was a wolf shifter. When he finds out the current leader of the pack wants her dead he steps in to save her shocking Brynn that he's still alive and that he is also a wolf shifter.

There are a few twist on what's really going on and why Jace killed that woman that I can see being the premise for the series. Cash and Brynn were bound to each other in childhood and now in adulthood as mates and they quickly work through any issues as Brynn vows to stand by her man (and wolf) through whatever challenges may lie ahead.

The writing and story line were engaging my only small complaint was it's a little on the short side – just as things were really starting it ended. I am looking forward to Jace's story though. Poor guy has a ton of guilt he's living with, curious to see how things work out for him.

Ice
Two weeks ago Kaylie Fletcher parents and brother were killed in a climbing accident in Alaska.. Then she gets a creepy phone call that all the caller says is "your mother is alive". So Kaylie takes off for Alaska even though it's the last place she wants to be to figure out what is going on.. Her good friend is supposed to pick her up at the airport but instead Cort McClaine is there to take her to her friend and her husband.. But once they arrive at their cabin they find both of them have been brutally murdered. From here the running from a killer ensues.. Both Kaylie and Cort already have horrible baggage from their past that they still struggle with while they are on the run from a killer.. This was the first book I had ever read from Stephanie Rowe (I read it first in 2009) and it was a winner if you like romantic suspense..
