Love is Lovelier (Rivers Bend Trilogy Book 2) Kindle Edition
It wouldn’t be so bad, except Heather and Mick are still attracted to each other like metal to a magnet. Oh, and her brother is considering offering Mick a partnership in the Retreat, which by rights should be hers. And even if they act on their attraction, Heather is a small-town, country girl, and proud of it, whereas Mick can’t get far enough from his West Virginia coal-mining roots.
Will they be able to get a second chance at their first love and find their happy ending together in Rivers Bend?

About the author

Donna Simonetta writes the kind of books she loves to read––contemporary romances to help you escape the real world for a little while. Writing is Donna’s third career. She toiled in the business world, decided it wasn’t for her, and went back to school to get her MLS degree. Next, she worked in a school library for many years. But, Donna dreamed of being an author since she was a little girl, and began to squeeze writing into her day. After the publication of her second book, Donna decided to leave the library and become a full-time author. She also publishes cozy mysteries under the pen name Louise Stevens.
Donna lives in Maryland with her husband, who is her real-life romance hero. They enjoy traveling to visit far-flung family and friends, and spending time on the beach with an umbrella drink and a good book.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2018I enjoyed this second book in the Rivers Bend Triology just as much as I enoyed the first, A Sweeter Spot. It was lovely to catch up with familiar characters, and to follow the course of Heather and Mick's romance, which is as winding as the river that Rivers Bend is named for. Men may be from Mars and Women from Venus, but both sexes live on Earth and have to deal with the same doubts and insecurities - particularly when it comes to opening yourself up to love. The main characters are nice people and I found myself rooting for them to find their happily-ever-after in Rivers Bend! I can't wait for Book 3 in this well written Trilogy that mixes human drama and humor in the perfect balance.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2018A enjoyable summer read with likeable characters. Well-written, with a touch of humor and an interesting storyline. Love can truly be lovelier the second time around.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2020Love is definitely lovelier the second time around for Mick and Heather, the hero and heroine in this second book of the Rivers Bend trilogy. Their feelings leapt off the page and into my heart, and I was totally invested in their story. This is a quick, fun read with down-to-earth characters, sizzling love scenes, and a town I can’t wait to return to in the third book!
