Scottish by birth, Gordon Ramsay was brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, and initially aspired to be a professional soccer player but an injury put an end to that and led him to the kitchen. He's trained with some of the world’s leading chefs, such as Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White in London, and Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon in France. At the age of 31, Ramsay set up his first wholly owned and namesake restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which quickly received the most prestigious accolade in the culinary world – three Michelin stars.

Now internationally renowned, Ramsay has opened restaurants around the globe including in London, Las Vegas, Singapore, Baltimore, Europe and Dubai. Ramsay has also become a star of the small screen with hit shows in both the UK & US. From Gordon, Gino & Fred on ITV, Gordon Ramsay's Bank Balance on BBC to FOX's MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, Hell's Kitchen & 24 Hours to Hell and Back as well National Geographic's Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted which airs in 172 countries.

Ramsay has seen success in a variety of other ventures outside of restaurants and television including his online MasterClass, and Mobile Puzzle Game, "Chef Blast with Gordon Ramsay." This book is absolutely worth your time and investment. I needed a book that could give me good ideas on recipes to try but from a healthy perspective and I just so happen to like Gordon's approach to food so I gave it a shot.I am extremely excited about this book in the time I've owned it. I think the recipes are simple yet delicious and if you are someone who likes to eat healthy, there are a tons of dishes that dint require meat and it also lists the calorie count.I recommend

I’ve done like about 20 recipes of this book so far, 1 did not impress, 1/3 were good, 2/3 were great! I’m the process I’ve learned so many new flavors, condiments and nutritious ingredients. I’ve been able to find all ingredients at the Asian store and the organic market near Cape Canaveral, FL

When I first started to cook as a home chef, I stumbled upon The Art of Simple Food by Alice Waters. It was a revelation, instructions and techniques that I still take to heart a decade later. The binding may be thrashed and the pages stained, but most of the lessons and recipes that I learned are memorized. Since then I've found a few books that have a few good recipes and ideas, and others that got donated away. But nothing had been anything like Simple Food, until now; maybe this could see the same worn out binding.

My wife had me get this because she wanted some healthier recipes and this book advertised them. We have been on a marathon of cooking recipes from this book the past week, and every one has tasted fantastic. These are not small portions to get the calories down, or leafy salads that leave you hungry. The meals have been filling and very tasty.

Each recipe lists the nutritional info on the page for easy reference if you are counting nutritional values and easy ingredient lists and simple to follow instructions. Ramsay also provides insights and techniques to eating and cooking healthier meals.

Overall the book is going to give you a lot of really good ideas to get cooking meals that have lower calorie content, but aren't going to make you feel like you are on a diet. And some of these, like the Cauliflower Tabbouleh and Lamb, are going to get added to my all time favorite list of meals to cook, healthy or not.

I thought it would be different. But many of the food items are bread to find where I live or very expensive. But they have some recipes I definitely want to try.

My family is trying to loose weight and so far every recipe has been so good and full of flavor. I’m so happy. It doesn’t feel like you are giving up anything. I will work my my thru all the meals!!!

I love it. The recipes seem easy and healthy and I trust them to be good since it is from Gordon. So happy be made this healthy lean recipe book. It’s hard enough to find good healthy recipes nowadays. Love!

I've had a lot of cookbooks but I hardly use them. I'm a good cook and a waitress so I learned a lot from 5 star chefs in Switzerland.

I will be using this cookbook a lot. He is really brilliant at bringing Michelin cooking to family kitchen dishes. Thus the book is not dumbed down so has great recipes, while also being realistic for family or guest meals.

He also offers some recipes like the pea soup that I'm excited about. Great book Gordon! Ta

Some of these recipes call for ingredients that are not available in your local supermarket. I found myself planning and shopping much more just to find everything.

Cooking a meal became nearly a half day project. And then I was left with more food than I needed.

Moreover, some meals and snack did not turn out well, to say the least.

This cookbook may be oriented toward advanced cooks with a lot of time and resources. If you are a single and searching for something convenient and healthy to keep you going... there may be much better alternatives.

Richtig gut für makrobasierte Ernährung, Meal Prepping und Kalorienzählen. Die Gerichte sind echt super lecker und absolut alltagstauglich. Einige davon haben es in unsere regelmäßige Essensplanung geschafft. Das einzige Kochbuch, aus dem ich wirklich regelmäßig koche und damit sogar meine Ernährungsziele erreiche.
