    Ms. Sky is an amazing author! If you follow my reviews you’ll realize I almost never give a 5-star rating & only post reviews if I’m truly moved. The entire MacLomain/Viking worlds the author has created are incredible. In fact I’ll state on the record that every book in ALL of her series’ is truly fantastic. Masterfully written, beautifully plotted, incredible heroes & heroines; and incredibly sexy scenes with incredibly sexy people. You truly will get caught up in the Iron Age/medieval worlds she creates. Even if you cannot bring yourself to purchase the books, all of her books are on Kindle Unlimited. I love her books so much; that I’ve purchased all of them so I may go back and re-read. So, I believe there’s no excuse to not to give these book series a try! However, I do advise you to read the different books from the beginning or it could be difficult to understand all the characters & nuances of the story. At the very least, you’ll have at a minimum (if you consume books like I do) a weeks worth of reading joy! Another bonus-unlike many romance authors today, Ms. Sky’s books have no spelling or grammatical errors... 🙃

    I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review and purchased the published addition.

    What a great ending to this series! Once again Sky has given us an exciting journey through the past and a fascinating “what if” twist on Scottish history. Bryce hasn’t shown his best side up to now, what with all that this is my lass….no this is my lass….Will he get it right this time with Jessie or is all hope lost for them to make a love connection? Is she trying to help the cause or is she in league with the evil wizards and working against them? Well you’ll have to read the book to find out.

    I’ve been a little upset with Grant and Adlin so far in this series for not being the mystical but brilliant Arch-Wizards I have grown to love, however I think an apology is in order. This series is about Women Power and as mere mortal men (with a little something extra) they just can’t keep up!

    This was my favorite book in this series, we met some really exciting historical figures and had a wee bit of fun along the way, even in the midst of life threatening danger!

    I can’t wait to see what happens next when Sky travels back to spend some more time with her Vikings. How will the story continue on and will she reveal more secrets about some of the people we have come to know and love as we journeyed with them through A New Beginning.

    Avenged by a Highland Laird is the 4th and last book in the A New Beginning series. I'm sad to see this series end it seems like we have been following the Maclomains and Macleods for years through many of Scotland's battles and curses.
    Bryce MacLeod is half Dragon and ready to do whatever it takes to save Scotland from this curse. He has a lot of reservations about Jessie, so far she has been all over the map and he wasn't sure who's side she is truly on.
    Jessie has been preparing for this moment for 18 years. She has cut herself off from the world and life to make sure that she could do whatever it takes to save Scotland from the curse her grandfather put in motion.
