It is hard not to believe that this is a real event. History is written as if a journalist or historian is filling you in on the facts you might not know. But when you get to "man's" story, only God could have penned that. My heart has been touched by the goodness of God that is presented in this book. Even though this writing is fiction, the book presents God as He really is: loving, kind, and available.

Disappointing and Fragmented

Although there was a strong Christian theme throughout the book, the story seem fragmented. It did not make sense that the main character's wife served as a special advisor to the president. Other instances were as far fetched. I really wanted to like this book. It involved too many characters and, sometimes, was confusing. I give the book three stars for the Christian theme, but not for the story. Also, the print was very small with a light font - very hard to see and read.

Like a Tom Clancy novel, with a Christian theme.

This is the second time I have read this book, and I thoroughly enjoyed re-reading it. The technical, geopolitical, and military details are first rate. This book reminds me of a Christian version of the Tom Clancy novels I grew up on. I feel he does an excellent job with character development, while still maintaining the fast reading pace his books are known for. Overall, it's an excellent book, with lots of twists and turns in the plot and plenty of action to keep things interesting!!
